I'm using a 55 cm austrian fux scythe. No bush scythe nedded: anormal scythe - if sharpened properly - will cut anything, even little trees (although you should avoid oaks of any size ;-). I recommend a 45 cm scythe for this kind of work, because it is more rigid, (= less stress (torsion) on your wrist).Use a simple alloy snath (from the diy-market). On bumpy ground you will have to lift up the scythe all day, so every ounce counts. You can buy this equipment at kosimesnadno.cz.
Are you using a 55 cm bush scythe or longer one?
