Wrong.

There was no Australia before 1901. it was proposed that the British colonies of Australasia unify. New Zealand didn't join this union for various reason. For a while in the early days of NZ in the 19th century , NZ was administered by the govt of New South Wales. But that didn't last very long and it was NSW, not Australia. As mentioned. Australia came into being in 1901.

As for the Queen, I don't actually know what she does here in England either. I mean, she's the Queen but err... she probably has the same power here as NZ/AU.... not much :)

Your quite wrong, the Queen IS the most powerful person in the world. Indirectly, she can dissolve the parliaments of Canada, Australia, New Zealand and of course Britain. She also indirectly controls their armies, navies and airforces. She can do all this through her Governor-General's. This is all very real and can all be found in the constitutions of those nations, along with 12 other "realms".

And the difference between the Queen and the President is that he has a congress he MUST adhere to, he also has the American people's opinion to adhere to. The Queen however has none of this, she can do anything, and no one can stop her.

Who is "we"? Australia? Australia had no choice to got war, from the Boer war, to the First and Second World Wars, Australia has had no choice!
