MacKenzie and Whitham were both successful racers (with rather better careers than these two). So what? Racers fall off all the time. Their skill doesn't make them immune. Most racers refuse to race on the Isle of Man - too dangerous. I have ridden plenty of roads like the one in the vid. You leave a larger margin for error if you want to stay alive, no matter how good you are. As they both fell off, they were less good than they thought.
@gliddofglood Niall Makenzie and James Whitham are pretty handy bike journo's. They aren't in a wheelchair. Wayne Rainey and Shoya Tomizawa were both pretty handy racers. One lives in a chair, the other is dead. Other than the fact that riding motorcycles is inherently dangerous and no one is immune I don't see any point to your comment.

Guys form Fast Bikes were great riders, but complete idiots... Always pushing to the limits. And when limits were reached, well... this is what happens !

SPOILER: Falling off that way is stupid, though quite a common mistake... I almost made the same mistake too on my first days of riding, should have kept turning half a second longer to follow the right lines...

There are plenty of opportunities these days to ride high performance machinery like this at track days. That's where this sort of thing belongs.

@kwacluver I agree with what you're saying,The riders did however have an advantage in that they were both wired and had information fed to them about up coming and on coming traffic.If you look closely you will see them scattered along the route taking photos and filming as well.Some of their blind bend moves seemed like russian roulette without help.
these corners arent anything radical , this is old news , look around on 80% of the current videos with some real corners and the speed the bikes are going.
These guys are going fast and just taking more risks that someone around the next corner will be directly in their way . I know the one guy crashes anyway, isnt that really expected ?

@pbchallenger BTW those dicheads are Gary Mason and Rob Frost.Fastbikes had them both wired and constantly fed them info on up coming and on coming traffic from spotters along that run,as they do in most of their videos.Both are BSB riders and NO amateurs.I wouldn't argue with anyone the fact,it's pretty stupid they are doing it on public roads BUT they are.

SPOILER: Falling off that way is stupid, though quite a common mistake... I almost made the same mistake too on my first days of riding, should have kept turning half a second longer to follow the right lines...

@didierrL01 Oh I don't doubt that for a minute but the road is not a place for that. Imagine coming around a corner at warp factor three and seeing Granny in the middle of the road with the shopping and her poodle. Imagine a car full of kids being backed out of a carpark unexpectedly.
There are plenty of opportunities these days to ride high performance machinery like this at track days. That's where this sort of thing belongs.

There is undoubtedly some fine riding here and i take my hat off to the skill levels demonstrated by these boys,what leaves me somewhat less than supportive in this situation is the threat to the many cyclist that are obviously using the road.The safety margins are cut too fine and for me that doesn't happen when you risk hurting the innocent..

@kwacluver I agree with what you're saying,The riders did however have an advantage in that they were both wired and had information fed to them about up coming and on coming traffic.If you look closely you will see them scattered along the route taking photos and filming as well.Some of their blind bend moves seemed like russian roulette without help.

these corners arent anything radical , this is old news , look around on 80% of the current videos with some real corners and the speed the bikes are going.
These guys are going fast and just taking more risks that someone around the next corner will be directly in their way . I know the one guy crashes anyway, isnt that really expected ?
