I don't live in NY anymore, but I used. Acutually I was born and raised in Albany. I joined the Navy back in 1980 and never went back. When I got out of the Navy, I moved to the Gulf Coast of MS. It's very beautiful and cheap to live also. But my family still lives in New York and many of them are unemployed and displaced right now. My sis worked for fuji film for years, but they recently closed down their NY plant and moved to the South. That's what you should do.

The number changes as Romer said is true, it changes all the time because it is entirely manipulated, calculating "discouraged" and the "under-employed" the unemployment numbers is much higher. If you look at the General Theory of Money written by John Maynard Keynes, see Chapter 5 in his short notes... he addresses a trade deficit as a serious problem and calls it a"money shortage". Keynes spoke about fixing the balance of trade, not about taxing people, inflating the currency and forcing oil production offshore for Soros.
