Heres the problem with Animated series produced in the USA: 1) That you can't produce enough money to repay the expense on production,2) the voice actors you get on the show that are expensive that drain the money that comes afterwords toward them and you have to pay for the next round of episodes and...Sigh. It's just complex and stupid how series get canceled and nothing can't be done to prevent them from being taken off the air.
I like Savage Dragon and Spawn but the got canceled.

He said the movie would go more for its roots similar to the comics. So im happy about this the live action movie was horrible but hope fully a new move will bring spawn back in the light.

Spawn destroies all of the evidence and leverage he has with the people he relies upon to remain in power, then leaves him for his political enemies to kill, considering him a "dead man". Pretty fucked up if you think about it, but also very fitting.

It's supposed to have had a brand new storyline and was not supposed to be connected to the HBO series. Unfortunately the animation was announced way back in 2005 and there has been virtually no information since its announcement.

McFarlane says 85% done with it just needs a studio and soundtrack. While for the most part the series will not be a direct continuation, there are allegedly going to be a few connections. I mean it doesn't start back at square one with him just outta hell, and the costume is different, it's the second one with the boot, red bands, and torn raggedy cloak.

Film Roman still around, they usually help with FOX projects like The Simpsons, and helped on the new 1 too. in Spawn comics, the child is actually twins and they are God and Satan (though it was an immacculate conception), who are more or less bickering siblings. They later end in universe where there is only them and bicker. The arc is where it all culminates is Spawn Armageddon. Also read #100 Spawn kills Malebogia and becomes king of Hell!

In the comics, the two of them fought once and later became allies (and lovers). She eventually died fighting Malebolgia's army, trying to buy Spawn some time to defeat him.
The Clown's real name is, "The Violator". His role is to guide the hellspawns into the Earth and persuade them to use their powers so that they would be rid of their life-force so that they would be sent back to Hell, voiding their contract with Malebolgia and become his soldiers once again.
