  • there are 4 very jelous people outthere

  • Awesome

  • Very fine work. It takes dedication- I can attest to that. Thank you.

  • Sounds more like blind melon chitlin

  • may have just been persuaded to buy the CD.. always amazing

  • Blues is attitude not technique!

You have the attitude. #1 requirement= No BS

  • Ooooohh yeahhhhhhhh....

I close my eyes and see the cotton fields!

  • Daddy from Antwerp, deze is gewoon schitterend! Echt waar! Gr, Mike

  • Dank je Mike, de solo's hebben we geleend van Duck Baker.

  • machine men!!!!

  • You are great....You feel it, and project it. I will trade my artistic talents for your musical ones.

  • You need t show some respect dude, do you know who this is. Any one can be taught how to play the music but only a certain few can feel it. This guy feels it down in his heart. That cant be learned or taught, either you got it or you dont. You probably dont have it. So STBY man.

  • Amazing!!!!!!! Rock on!

  • Thanks Derek, it's a copy of a 1934 Gibson L-00 (the workingman's guitar during the depression years). For a parlor it's a little too big. I do play some parlor guitars in other video's; check out my profile and playlists - you'll see the small parlors rightaway.

  • Youre a talented man,

you'll see, blues music will come back to my generation and those younger,

there's nothing better or more fun toplay and sing...garunteed...

  • Hey ,it´s very good job

  • Maybe not verbatim Blind Lemon, but having seen many of this mans music videos, I'll stack him up against you any time. Only a jealous inferior musician could or would make such a comment to a man of Stovepipe's caliber. How old are you?

  • Your songs rock and are straight from the soul. Wow, feel like dancin' ...

  • Another great tune! I like Blind Lemon's stuff, but it's hard to imitate. Do you play Hot Dogs? I'll record my version of that as soon as I find the time.

  • Thanks dj, Lemon is indeed hard to imitate so I rather play an interpretation than breaking my teeth on the original :)

Haven't tackled Hot Dogs yet, be my guest :)

  • great pickin'!!I enjoyed it a lot!Thank's

  • sounds what kind of tunning you use

  • standard tuning, G position.

  • If you're ever near Los Angeles or San Diego let me know, i'll definetly check your gig out... you've got IT! or... if you have a schedule just send it to me maybe I'll be in the vicinity... Damn GOOOOOOD

  • (Sorry, if you can translate, or speak spanish,if not, you are a master and my english is the worst :P)Eres un verdadero maestro, ojalá que tengas el éxito que mereces. Al menos tienes mi reconocimiento. Inspirándote en estos artistas te alzas a hombros de gigantes. Mis 5 estrellas desde tenerife, canarias,¿no esperabas que fuera tan lejos eh?

  • Wow, fantastic picking man, wish I found this sooner.

  • NICE!!!

  • HI, really extra fun to hear you play the blues. Blind Lemon Jefferson is not forgotten. Keep playing and pickin' we need more talented people like you to keep the blues ALIVE. Please note that about every day I educate and remind my kids that the Blues is soley responsible for any music that came after, I mean the "good" music. I keep playing the blues for them planting the seed for the future. I know it will grow. ..

    thanks again,

    Steve

  • I think this is some really great guitar playing. Nice arrangement! I have a question, though. Why don't any Bluesmen try to play guitar like Lemon when they cover his songs? It seems like Skip James is attempted by Alvin Youngblood Hart and John Cephas, but nobody has ever been recorded playing guitar like Lemon. Is his stuff too difficult to play? Is there something eccentric and tricky to learn about his licks? I'd really love to know.

  • Thanks for the kind words.

Lemon is indeed too unique to imitate; his timing and phrasing are totally his own so "interpretations" are the best thing to do. Ari Eisinger, Paul Geremia and Paul Rishell have done great Lemonsongs.

  • love it !! Been reading a book about guitar. It mentioned Blind Lemon Jefferson. That's how I found this !! Brillant !!

  • the pics in the background make this even more awesome.

  • Fucking brilliant ya big jobby...

  • your great is this a west coast model guitar

  • i find your edits today, you got it great songs and techinclook for my songs hope you enjoy it:-)

  • I love it how it's so clear to see that you love this music. Really beautiful.

  • Amazing, really enjoying your playing.

  • Your East Texas guitar style is dead on.

  • Real nice! Do you play a version of Blake's

    West Coast Blues?

  • Thanks for the compliment. All those years of playing have taken its toll on my lefthandindex so I can't really play halfbar chords without pain. Blake's ragtime progressions in C have too many of those I'm afraid...

  • Dang! I know you'd be Blake's livin' troubadour!

Keep up the great work...my index finger and wrist

muscles are giving out too...age 62...but fun trying!

  • Hey man, Love it! :)

  • Keep alive the blues... You're a passionate voice of the spirit from crossroads. Great!!!!! Greetings from Italy.

  • that was great! loved it

  • You, sir, are among the very best I've heard. Thank you for your posts!

  • 6 stars dude!!regards bluespower..

  • Gread work man,5 stars!!!!
