The recipe that I use for my batches is 2 cans of frozen concentrate and 2 cups of sugar to 1 gallon of water. I also use gelatin to help clear it and it seems to get rid of any sourness. With this recipe, I haven't experienced any dry wines.
@kwaidonjin Pasteurized is fine. It just makes sure there are no nasties growing in there. But preservatives might actually kill any yeast you add to the brew.
@ihikefar Not really. I wouldn't use anything but 100% juice though, as my other one is taking a lot longer to ferment and it doesn't have as good a flavour.

so the big thing is make sure there isn't any preservatives, what about it being pasteurized ?

what did you bottle it in? Did you carbonate it?

@kwaidonjin Bottled it in a 2 litre soda bottle. Didn't bother carbonating.
