  • Id assume the answer to all your questions would be "Its not a Wii game... its a WiiWARE game..."

  • I always used to watch my brother play on the DS. If this was out then, it probably would have been better, so I agree with you on that statement.

    Was that really needed Capcom?

  • Phoenix's objections...are sooo awesome.

  • Capcom why do you suck?

  • who knew a game about lawyers would be so much fun?

  • Ya wanna know how much I love the Ace Attorney series? I own the first three games on the Wii and the DS and I own the first game on my iPhone. I own Apollo Justice on the DS and Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth on the DS also. I can't wait until the sequel!

  • SPOILER ALERT: In EMULATOR FOR DS and DS version of Ace Attorney if you beat the WHOLE game with NO goof ups or asking EXTRA QUESTIONS you unlock a minigame titled "OSU" were you can play Ace Attorney songs WHILE going through the beat like the CROSS EXAMINATION SONG and the regular songs.

  • Love this game, awesum music...

  • Dude, get the iPhone version. It seems alot better.

  • OBJECTION

  • Why would they include case 5 in the iphone version and not in the wii version 0_0

  • I think Capcom should make a Phoenix Wrigt Wii game. With better graphics, and fully voice acted. And basically including all the missing things you talked about here.

  • where is the trails and tribulation's review its up on wii ware?

  • Not including the 5th case in the game. They'll shoot ya for that in Texas.

  • should i get this for the wii or ds?

  • was is this song called at 1:19

  • @FearWei well i kno the third song that showed its called "cornered"

  • @FearWei

    Examination 2001 allegro.

  • is it just me or are most of those dialogues too fast? oO

  • The reason I think there wasn't free click is so that you wouldn't go too fast so you wouldn't overlook anything

  • We all wanted a new Phoenix Wright game.

We all didn't think they'd just adapt the game to make it work for Wiiware.

    OBJECTION!!!!!

  • Think 100 Wii Points for the fifth case is extortionate?

Check out the DLC for MvC3.

  • OBJECTION!! i am a fan of pheonix wright but i am not going to download this game just becuse the fifth case cost an extra 100 wii points

  • How are you gonna turn Phoenix into a fighting character?

  • @KennyMar Hm...maybe he'll be like the pokemon trainer in SSBB. Not actively fighting himself, but having others do it for him while he gives out orders.

  • To sum up WhiteEmerald1991's point, Phoenix Wright is a game for those who want to test their level of thinking. You don't need to be a good gamer, you just have to have a great level of curiosity, a keen eye, and a sharp mind. Keep ahold of the facts. If you want to take on law irl, try this game for starters.

  • Its actually "wendy oldbag". Yes, her name is LITERALLY oldbag!...i play this game too much

  • lol the old lady is called 'old hag'

  • am i the only one who notitce that when the wiiviewr talked about the single releas of case 5 maya in the backround was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

  • Continuing...

I recommend this game to anyone who likes to investigate, use evidence against the defendent's testimonies, put the guilty in jail, finding the truth, and utimately be in the justice position.

  • continuing...after investigating rooms after rooms, it get boring and i wanted to continue the trial. There are times when you go to court, investigate, go to court again, and investigate again. The first time it happens, it is ok. But it becomes repetitive for each story...

The stories are in depth except episode 1 but it depends on your definition of depth. And the game has a lot of funny moments depending on your sense of humor.

  • Continuing...

In this game, you have to find evidence. However, each location is like a "picture." You don't control a character and roam the room. You have a pointer and you have to click. There has been times where i found evidence that i actually needed but it was hard to find. Maybe im just blind or the game is just difficult. And in court, there were two or three times when i presented evidence that didn't make a 100% connection to the contradiction. But most of the time it did.

  • My review of this game: I like and sometimes love the game. This game made me feel like an attorney. What made me "became" an attorney is that fact that i have to find contradictions in testomonies (which is a speech) and supported my claims with actual evidence. When i was able to find a contradictions and support it, i felt like i was "awesome."

The music of this game is fantastic. There is one song in which i would just listen to more than ten minutes and continue with the game.

  • I bought this game for the wii because it's been really difficult for me to find the ds game, I've only ever seen any of the games from time to time on sites like ebay. However I downloaded this one a few days ago and I absolutely love it!

  • Hey, hey, hey... 100 Wii points is VERY cheap because 100 Wii points = $1.00

  • i feel so smart beating this game

  • ..........

You can get all five cases free on the iPod touch...

  • bought the game cuz of bullshit evolved...AND I LOVE IT!!!only wish that the voices were like in bullshit evolved...LOL ok maybe no but its a very funny game...

  • Thank you, wiiviewr, for recommending this game. After your review i played all the ace attorney games.

  • 3:52 FTW!

  • UGH I DONT HAVE INTERNET FOR WII

  • 3:54 LOL!

  • uuuuuuh....you do know that the ds version is not the original...right...if you guys do not now what I am talking about.I will tell you

the original release was on the gba called gyakuten saiban it ended on the fourth case, but the ds remake just added the fifth case

making the wii version a port of the original game not it's remake

    sorry for bad english

  • @BioTech55 Your enligsh was perfect, but not alot of people know that because it was first released in the US as a DS game

  • The only good thing about this game is that you can yell OBJECTION on your WII MENU! ! ! !

    This is awesome! :D

  • Voice-acting...would be a bad choice. Very bad. See, while some of the stuff I'd love to have voice-acted, other things they couldn't. At all. Or it'd ruin the mystery. Basically, they couldn't voice the opening for each case. that'd be like screaming in your face that IT WAS HIM/HER. And thats just no fun. If there were one or two cutscenes w/ voice-acting, that would be kinda cool....Just not the whole game.

  • @DreamHollowSai simple case of keeping text :D

  • I beat the first four cases on the DS, but the small font made it hard to see. The Wii version rectified this by putting the game on a larger screen. Keep in mind that this was before the release of the DSi XL, so I did not have that option.

  • one of my favourite games of all time....

  • So according to a whole bunch of forums and news, the 5th episode was to be released on May 2010 which was about a year ago...SO WHY CAN'T I FIND IT?!?!?! IT'S NOT ON WIIWARE!!! I WANT IT!! Dx See, I haven't been able to find the 1st and 2nd PW (nor the AJ) for DS so I was thrilled it was on the DS, but why isn't the 5th episode there yet!?!? Am I missing something?! I've already bought 1 and 2 PW for Wii already so I don't understand...why can't I find it, somebody help please D':

  • @KagamineLenX3

It was released. You need to download it from your PW1 game.

  • @wiiviewr Thanks for responding :DDD But...um how do I do that? D: I looked through the PW1 game profile thing again in wiiware and there were no extra options or anything...I tried searching for the game title by itself too, but nothing showed up no matter how many different ways I put it in...I went through the details sections and all, and the only option I could find was to gift PW1...And the game, when you start, only has the wii menu and start option...>.<

  • @wiiviewr I know this is late but....Ds was not the original console for pw. It was released in 2001 on gba and only until 2005 it got a worldwide release outside of japan on ds.

  • @KagamineLenX3 the 5th game? dude thats just a rumor

  • I wanted to try this game, maybe I should find it for my old GBA.

  • @CommanderZylo Um unless you have a japanese GBA then you won't be able to play it on GBA. You will need either a DS or the wii.

  • eeehh? where can you get this?

  • VOICES WOULD SUCK ASS!!!!!!!!!

  • man i was watching the spray review and had this opened on a new tab the wiivewr was talking about the game developers and then phoenix went OBJECTION!

  • Good review until it got all ranty towards the end...

  • What sucks is the 1st game is rare now. But the briht side is the wii on is impossible to become sold out

  • I love the Kick-ass Opening Music

  • click over and over again 3:53

  • hmm a hamburger or a AWSOME CASE ON PW:AA............

  • u no ace attorney 3 has comeout 4 wiiware, y havent u reivwed it yet?

  • Nice Intro!

  • Considering the technical complexity of the game, "10+ hours" in unacceptable. The game is fun despite it's flaws, but it's definitely not worth buying if there's only 5 cases.

  • Thanks man. I was thinking about getting this game as another wiiware download.

  • 100 wii points is $1. Are you THAT cheap?

  • @Pikerchu13 is 1000 not a 100 is 10$

  • @rolaahp What? 100 wii points is equivalent to $1, did you not understand what I meant by that?

  • @Pikerchu13 I thought you were saying that ace attorney was 100 points, sorry ;)

  • OBJECTION!!!!!

  • @AlphaWarrior11 No truer words were ever said.

  • @AlphaWarrior11 HOLD IT!

  • Phoenix Wright for MvsC3!

  • they could've put some effort into this. It looks like dog shit on a tv screen

  • Comment removed

  • Nah, with so many characters, voice acting would too easily fail. Their would always be a character whose bad voice would distract you.

  • I like the wii version better since its about ten dollars cheaper.

  • i have the cheapest version on the ipod touch

  • man oh man i just luv this game, thanks wiiveiwer now i just cant stop playing it even though i beat it a long time ago XD

  • omg made by capcom

  • Actually, it would be more feasible on the DS as the carts can hold plenty of data, but downloading all of that data would take some time even on a very fast connection. Games like DQ9 are 256 megabytes, and rom storage isn't exactly expensive anymore.

Another good example is how many MP3's you can store on something like a high capacity micro SD card.

The likely reason they didn't voice it was to keep the game true to the original GBA series that was in japan.

  • They ported all of the cases to the iPhone LAST YEAR yet they couldn't for the Wii?

  • I pesonally never played it on the DS version, so I got this version, I also had 200 points left from an earlier purchase so I was able to get Rise From The Ashes right off the bat. This game was definetley worth the 1100 points I paid, as I was up from when I bought it at noon to 5'oCLOCK in the morning. I love it and am going to get Justice For All and then after that, Trials And Tribulations.

  • *horn* YOU!

    epic

  • Hm Nice review

  • They have those 5 Cases for the iPhone and iPod Touch! (: I bought it for $5 and can't put it down! It's awsome!! (:

  • Just got done with the first four cases, and that took me close to 20 hours (... replaying certain chapters and having to fighting myself not to google for certain clues), but with the great writing, memorable characters, smooth artwork, and soundtracks that will stick with the gamer for some time, all wrapped up in effect and engaging gameplay makes this more than worthy of a buy.

... And IGN can take their 6.0 out of 10.0 and shove it.

  • @Jesterclown17

How does the saying goes? You can't spell ignorant without IGN. HAHAHAHAH!!

  • @beanio12 hahahahaha

  • How much is this game?

  • Get the iphone version. Its absolutely identical to the ds version, with all five cases for only £3.

  • Hold Down at 0:00 to see Wiiviewr's Wii Menu

  • you do know you can buy this with all five cases off apples app store for five dollars right i guess not

  • @Kelsssssssssssss Some of us are twelve and only have an iPod Nano. Ah well.

  • The game has a nice story and is really fun to play until you start to notice that it doesnt matter what you choose to do. If you for example choose the answer A and the answer B is right, they will either tell you to reconsider and to choose again or you will automatically reconsider and tell the right answer. So basically you are just pressing some buttons and following a story. What you decide along the story doesn't mean squad!!!

  • @Grymlingen In other words, this game needs no skills. It's way too easy and has no challenge.

  • @Grymlingen

    a) This game is admittedly easy; however, the later games ramp up the challenge.

    b) You said the whole game is just following a story. What's wrong with that?

  • @wiiviewr

can you pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese do a review on the dlc for the game? it's only 100 pts, but i want to make sure it is worth the points since the majority of virtual console games come only in denominators of 500, 1000, and 1500 pts, which means that the other 400 pts left from the purchase would most likely not be used. Also, if you could do a review on Trials and tribunes for wiiware, that would be great as well.

  • Attention Ace attorney fans! The new DLC is now available for purchaise!

  • Haha. One of the few nintendo games that is funny, educational, and has pretty good 16 bit graphics (I least i think 16 bit....)

  • Stop saying the DS version is original. IT IS NOT. first these games were on GBA

  • One problem I have with the PW games is how linear the game is when presenting evidence. Logically several pieces of evidence could work in most cases, but no you have to show a vague piece of evidence before you present the magic bullet.

  • WiiViewr Serious Question

  • I can do my own voicecast.

  • I've never played ne of these games, but everyone tells me I'm gonna be a lawyer!

  • @pokesnorlax1 AA is nothing like real law.

  • @ItsSrsBzness than what is it? Is it like a mystery game with in court parts?

  • @pokesnorlax1 with real law, most things are settled out of court, and there is no yelling objection and presenting evidence. This game is based on a fictional court system which doesn't exist any where in the world.

  • @ItsSrsBzness so its more like the hearing (I think that is the right word) to see if you will be put in front of a jurry and judge or be put infront of a judge? (I erally havent played any of these games, so, and I'm only 10, so I'm not 100% sure this is what I'm trying to say)

  • @pokesnorlax1 no. The hearing is where the accused states whether he wishes to fight the charges or if s/he wishes to plead guilty.

On a side note, 10 year olds shouldn't be using the internet. You have terrible parents.

  • @ItsSrsBzness you do now millions of peopl YOUNGER than me use the internet, right? And fine, but I'm blocking you.

  • @pokesnorlax1 you do know, that those people's parents are equally inept? And you're not going to be a lawyer.

  • @ItsSrsBzness well I never wanted to be one anyway. And thats your opinion. DO you also think kids shouldn't play video games? And just wondering, but if you feel that way then you should think, do you think the wiiviewer is stupid? And since he is in the reviews it seems like he is useing the internet. Why don't you ask him?

  • @pokesnorlax1 no it's not an opinion it's an observation their is a difference little boy. Of course kids shouldn't play video games, they have zero benefit albeit a short lived good time.

What the hell that doesn't make any sense. This is why little bitches shouldn't use the internet.

  • @ItsSrsBzness i am 10 years old and what is fiction

  • @JohnSegway lol meme.

  • Catchy music.... :L

  • Why do you speak in this odd tone of voice? Your intonations are so odd

  • thx wiiviewr for your review! after i watched your review i bought this off wiiware and i played it i loved it and this review showed me to phoenix wright so continue to make your reviews

  • Toupee attack <3 You've got to love it. I thoroughly enjoy the Ace Attorney games, coming from someone who just started the series about a week after the video was posted. One of my favorite aspects is that although there is a lot of fan content, you do not have to play previous games to understand ones further in the series. I started out with AAI, and I had a good idea of what had gone on beforehand without spoilers. Oh yeah, and who can resist the ladder/stepladder? :D

  • Great review thanks, and I'll just buy the third and fourth games in the series I didn't play in my DS (I sold it) But it's really disappointing to not be able to aim to the screen directly with the Wiimote....... A real shame

  • I bought this game recently and tried to buy episode 5 but it said "this ad-on content is no longer available for purchase." Does this mean that they had it up for a while but took it down recently, or that when it says "is no longer available" that it actually isn't out yet but it is just wrong? Can anyone help me out?

  • I got this recently and tried to buy episode 5 but it told me "This add-on content is no longer available for purchase." Does this mean that they did have it up but took it down recently, or that it isn't up yet but the "no longer available" thing that it says is wrong? Can anyone help me out?

  • Actually, they havn't even released it yet. i don't know why it says no longer if it doesn't exist yet

  • Hey, so I bought PWAA a few weeks ago and have tried to get episode 5, but it says "this add-on content is no longer available for purchase". Does this mean that they did release it at some point but then took it down? Argg, I really hope it wasn't taken off.

  • i heard the 5th case is the hardest case in the entire series

  • I took your advice, this game is surprisingly awesome.

  • You're right, my girlfriend, his brother and me play together the wii version.

But it's a complete shame that they didn't improve the graphics and making the 5th ds case dlc....

  • If you bought and dl'd PP:AA for wiiware, then you already dl'd case 5. The "case 5" you buy is just the unlocker, which is 1 block. Capcom is just being assholes.

  • I am probobly sure that anyone who has played phoenix wright has shouted

    OBJECTION!

    sometime in everyday life.

  • I've had it for two days and said OBJECTION! at least 4 times.

  • Waggle your wiimote!

  • I liked the game! Thanks Wiiviewr!

Only thing I don't like is the 5th case download, and the game has 300 blocks...

  • They should've used an optional version where you can yell out OBJECTION!!!!! into the WiiSpeak if you have one.

  • a lot of pepole hate the pointing feature because they cant hold their hand still

  • 4th case in the trail on the last day (THE FREAKIN PARROT O_e

  • Another problem is when this dlc is coming out. I think I heard something like may? If it has already came out, can you please tell me this. It didn't want to work for me.

  • Yep, the DLC is coming out along with Trials and Tribulations (the third one in the series, just in case you didn't know), which is coming in May. I'm not saying that you have to buy Trials and Tribulations to get the DLC, they just come out at the same time. You never know, though, Capcom might release it earlier like they did with Justice for All (#2 in the series. Once again, just in case you don't know) where they released it a month early.

  • lol

When you said "Downloadable extra" the game text said WHAAAAAT?

    2:47

  • @unknown2594 Watching the game text...

    WIN

  • You're an ACE fanboy but that okay

  • I GOT THIS GAME AND I LIKE IT :D :3 bad part is i cant get past the 4th

  • you still stuck on it i bet what are you stuck on hinata077

  • 2:51 A doubt you really sweared . Nice use of the sound effect! Next time you should use a baby crying!

  • The menu screen sounds catchy...

    Another stellar review!

    Keep up the great work!

  • Comment removed

  • hey, if you haven't played the ds version or this version or really any version of phoenix wright which would you recommend me to start with? this game or the ds game?

  • The DS Version.

  • the ds version is the same game

    and it has better controlls.

  • that is the most epic channel screen music EVER

  • Im glad i took your advice.

    STEEL SAMURAI FTW

  • PORT OF A PORT :3

  • wow, i love capcom, but they really smoked some BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD pot when making this game.

  • "Sahwit" looks like the Happy Mask Salesman.

  • LOL he does, xD

  • @GTtheEpic Oh my God, you're right!

  • @GTtheEpic so true

  • Review Phoenix Wright: Justice For All.

  • Complaining about lack of voice casting is silly, as voice casting this entire game would go well over the WiiWare's 43MB limit. I'm assuming the size limit is also the reason for the missing 5th case (DS game cards go up to 128MB, so it's possible that the entire DS game simply doesn't fit into a 43MB package).

Lack of IR pointing is a valid complaint, however, and it really seems odd that they didn't do this.

  • but the DS version is actually a port of a GBA game. the DS version was ported to the Wii.

  • Lol

    It's a port of a port :)

Love Phoenix Wright btw, but I rather play it on my DS. Its stupid they didn't upgrade the graphics or revamp the music :(

  • @Atle517 not at all, the game over 40MB and that's over the average of WiiWare size. And the price is also decent, but yeah a basic graphic filter or hi-quality MIDI would have been nice :(

  • @Atle517 the music is sexy and so is the graphics

  • Not really, it would be way more inprecise to pick what you wanted to click, and that would most likely further this mans complaints about missing an object you had to click, confusing you for days. I also don't mind the 5th case being a 1 dollar download, because it's a dollar. The whole game is still cheaper than the DS one was on release.

  • omg YOU SAY FUCK TO CAPCOM

    NONONO I CAN'T BELIEVE IT

  • @Enricovir99 I cannot belive that either. But he Said Shit OH I MEAN S#$% On another Title

  • I heard they're coming out wth all of them in the following months. Yes! I can FINALLY play Trials and Tribulations! WHOOO!
