  • Wow, at 5:15 you can hear the Dopler effect preceeding the sound of the blast inspite of the dubbed in explosion sound.

  • @pyrokittykat Actually they didnt add sound effects i was in kindergarten when pepcon exploded it literally shook out school, and we all had to do the earthquake drills because we thought it was an earthquake. The magnitude of the explosion was insane. I will never forget that day.

  • @4rcedfedimpreza

I'm sorry, I didn't articulate clearly, forgive me, please let me try again. On video footage seen on television programs like "Worlds Greatest Explosions", producers, editors dubbed in an embellished explosion sound at the exact moment of the blast, that's false since sound travels slower than light.

I've seen an unedited video, it's incredible, wish I could listen to you recount that event, I would treat you to a fancy steak dinner to hear your story! Best wishes to you.

  • @pyrokittykat haha... yeah at the time the pepcon explosion happened we werent aware of what it was... but i remember us having to take the earthquake drill in school because it shook the hell out of the ground. I remember afterwards the magnitude of the explosion it was chaotic. lol i dont need a steak dinner but thanks for the offer :) lol

  • Whole damn factory's on fire (PEPCON)

  • I actually think that there is a more powerful explosion, but it was certainly the hottest.

  • I wish they wouldn't add sound effects.

  • thats what they should do to all internet trolls

  • Hank Hill is pissed!

  • DUDE.... its like getting nuked only its from inside the building

  • @donwest420 light is faster than sound. you can't really sync it

  • Still not as large as Pepcon

  • @supraspd Listen to what he says at 2:40 in case you don't know what I'm talking about I'm referring to your comment you posted a few months ago about a huge Non-nuclear explosion

  • @supraspd It's not bigger then Pepcon because at 2:40 he clearly says "Pepcon" so it's not bigger IT'S THE SAME THING!

  • Boom

  • how much did the explosion throw him!!!!! nooooooooo!!!!!!!

  • i bet you dont even know what a nuclear explosion looks like...

i just watch it your a retard that looks nothink like a nuke

  • i bet you dont even know what a nuclear explosion looks like

  • These explosions are fucking awesome.

  • The largest non-nuclear explosion was the pepcon explosion, much more powerful than this

  • @IIDragonslay3rII lol watch the rest of the video before making a comment on the content.

  • @samvansomething The shockwave from the pepcon measured a 2.0-2.3 on the Ricter Scale. And obliterated everything

  • @IIDragonslay3rII yes and its in this video... still not sure if you understood what I meant...

  • This is no where near the largest non nuclear explosion.

  • "But a tv crew chose to stand a half-mile away to watch the fire." THE TV CREW ARE FREAKING RETARDS

  • lol "i litterally picked me up and threw me atleast four--"

  • nah this is nothing lol, sorry to burst every ones bubble but the largest explosion so far is 500 tons of tnt to simulate a nuclear blast look it up

  • @bloutyben but this one wasn't intentional.

  • @BananaConcoction then the title is still wrong and its realy not that big after seeing JDAM's go off. and it was just rocket fuel any way Amonium Perchlorate i think.

  • @bloutyben

1, that was 100 tons of TNT. 2, Ammonium perchlorate has a higher energy density than TNT. 3- this was, among 4 blasts, about 4500 tons of AP.

  • @bloutyben Please! There has been far larger explosions than just 500 tons! On the night of 10 June 1942, U-68 torpedoed the 8600-ton British freighter Surrey in the Caribbean Sea. Five-thousand tons of dynamite in the cargo detonated after the ship sank. That was just after a quick search.

  • wow... 2:14 looks like a nuke...

  • even this video are old (1980s) but still, this is the largest "NON-NUCLEAR" explosion until the 2nd gulf war

  • WOW, the las explosion looks like a nuclear bomb

  • Yea a small one. Nukes can be thousands of times stronger.
