Did you have to mod the case to get the rear radiator in? I'm thinking of doing a very similar setup with my Cosmos S but I'm not sure on the interference. Looks great btw
@ZeeDub14 yes, i had to measure and drill separate holes on the back. due to the 120mm radiator clearance issue, the stock screw holes on the back don't line up with the radiator screw holes. but it all depends on what kind of radiator you get.
@howzz1854 I was looking at the same ones (Black Ice GTS 120 and 360). Doing some measurements, it looked like it would hit the wall towards the rear outer portion of the case (for the 120). Did the 360 rad plop down nicely for the top or did you have to drill for that as well?
@8125k Yeah, it does look like it was a leak at 19.5 secs or 20 sec s there..good eye..then again..maybe my eyes are going and I see something just because you said it ;-)
Nice system vary clean. I notice a lot of you guys use 1/2" ID for your tubing, i currently am using 3/8 does it really make a difference? Oh and check out my vid and tell me what you think. Again nice work you did a great job.
1/2" ID frees up a lot of flow. I am not sure how much more. i didn't do a direct comparison between 3/8 and 1/2. but when used with a high flow pump and a block that's flow dependent, it's always a good idea to just go with the thicker tube; especially in conjunction with multiple large radiators.
I had one of those video cards for awhile before upgrading to a 1gb ati radeon 4890. The nvidia quadro fx is a 256mb card and it will max out bioshock with no problem at a resolution of 1280x1024. Its a small card good one.
yeah, i am about to retire that card and upgrade it with a Quadro 3800 (1GB GDDR). the Quadro 3450 has served me well for over 3 years, but with upcoming mental ray 3.8 with CUDA support, 3450 really won't cut it anymore.
@howzz1854 Hi I've never heard of Nvidia Quadro series so i don't know what games it can handle. Could you compare FX3450 whit some card from ATI HD series or Nvidia 6150-9800 series? Oh yeah 1 more question, does the FX3450 have pixel shader 3.0? Cheers!!! :D
thanks for the kind comments. it's a Core2 Quad Q6600 overclocked @ 4Ghz (1.6Vcore) for benchmark, 3.7Ghz.(1.47Vcore) for everyday 24/7 operation Prime95 stable. Asus P5E with Rampage Formula Bios. Gskill PC8500 5-5-5-15. Dual raptor RAID 0. Cooling is 4X120mm Black Ice GTS radiator (3X120mm on top+1X120mm in the rear). 1/2" ID tygon tubing. Swiftech MCP650 pump, Koolance CPU330 Gold plated water block.
GPU: Quadro FX 3450 workstation card. this machine is built for workstation AutoCAD purpose.

the 3X120mm Rads are on top of the case, just right underneath the top vents. and there's a single 120mm rad on the back exhaust fan.

Where are the radiators? I got a Cosmos S too and think about how to install a tripple an a dual radiator for better cooling!

darklock706 1 year ago
can you fit fans in the area just underneath the top cover and can you still remove the psu dust filter if there is a fan in the adjacent slot???
thanks :)
