  • To cave people lacking evolution of their souls, but at least learned English and some Math (see? am not mentioning religion): Google these, and THINK for a change; especially, atheists.

    The Fine Tuning of the Universe;

    Evidence for the Fine Tuning of the Universe;

Evolution vs Design: Is the Universe a Cosmic Accident or Does it Display Intelligent Design?

If you graduate, try 'Allegory and Symbolism', then apply ALL to Sacred Texts, that you may see the Light

  • well, well......good info for critical thinkers...NOW...lets apply it to the Bible....that gets even sillier and I am sure Chris will have all sorts of explanations for that silly book

  • Seinna im srry to say, but your comment makes you seem incapable of recieving information. SON and SUN are homophomes, Only in english will this mistake occur. as the bible was written in hebrew and greek, this argument is irrelavent. Also the zodiac was invented ofter the life and death of Jesus. so even if hes a pisces by todays standards, then he was not

  • Hello, is there any spanish subtitles somewhere? That would be nice.

  • beth-el means house of God, Ham means hot, heat, and brown. beth-el-ham means hot brown house of God.

Jesus is Pisces the fishes. The lion is a representation of the SUN, HENCE THE SON (SUN) OF GOD>

All it is is the Mutable Cross of the Zodiac. Pisces on top Virgo at his feet (Mary) Sagittariuses on one side (disciple) and Gemini on the other(2 disciples). the 3 cross on the hill are, Cardinal, (Like in a church )thief Mutable Jesus and Fixed thief the 4 headed beast in revelations.

  • @sienna890488 there is no actual beast in revelations. if you would actually study the bible, you would know that in the books of Daniel and Ezekiel, these prophets explain what a "beast" means, what a "mountain" means and so forth.

  • Sometimes the cavern is surrounded by a circle, on which the twelve signs of the zodiac appear. Outside the cavern, top left, is Sol the sun, Top right is Luna, with her crescent moon

In some depictions, the central tauroctony is framed by a series of subsidiary scenes to the left, top and right, illustrating events in the Mithras narrative; Mithras being born from the rock, the water miracle

  • 8:57 - the Israel Archeological Society being cited as "proof" of the existence of Bethlehem is specious, to say the least. The State of Israel was created in Palestine (through mass deadly force) in 1948 via the UN because powerful Zionist bankers & corporate moguls feel they are truly "God's Chosen People" and that Israel must exist in order to fulfill biblical prophecies of the Battle of Armageddon. That alone is enough to negate the validity of any such evidence.

  • wow very impressive, thank you for dedicating this much time to expose all of this, i was very convinced by zeitgeist but now i am a firm believer in skepticism of the skeptics. thank you for this extremely well put together research based work.

  • The English word "Jew" didn't come into our language until the 12th century, and when it did, it had a different connotation (someone from the area of Judea) than the current, widely used connotation, which is someone whose religion is Judaism.

  • A video which "debunks the claims made in Zeitgeist." Now we need one which debunks some of the narrator's claims.

Notice that at around 3:25 he references Acts 2:46, which doesn't support his point. More importantly, however he says that Jesus was a Jew.

  • @phosphorolizer Good catch. That reference does not support his claim. I missed that the first time around.

What's even funnier is that the anti-zeitgiest faction is also claiming the Venus Project is covertly pushing a Socialist/Communist agenda, and hence trying to "usher in the NWO."

Acts 2:44-45, "And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions & goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need." So I guess Jesus was a Socialist? Ha!

  • @helicoidaxiom

    QUOTE:

"Acts 2:44-45, "And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions & goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need." So I guess Jesus was a Socialist? Ha!"

    -----------

Righteous... So you want to have a REAL depiction of Man's idea of socialism? Check out Stalin, it will do you some good, or bad depending on how delved you are in this sophistic interpretation of yours.

  • @luishdosreis Maybe if you'd pay a bit more attention to context, you'd realize I was referencing a quote from the clip, which phosphorolizer was correct in saying the biblical verse in question was insufficient to support the narrator's claim. My comment on Jesus being a Socialist was purely facetious. Or don't they have sarcasm where you come from? I'm quite familiar with Stalin, thank you. It seems you're defending your religious principles, which makes YOU the sophistic interpreter, chief.

  • @luishdosreis Stalin was a fascist pschyco, NOT socialist. Heck, Saddam's army was called the "Republican Guard". A very admirable name, seeing as forces fighting on a behalf of republic are good guys. But sadly it is not so in this case. The same with the pchsycopathic fanatics who preach hate and discourse (the Westborough Baptist Church, hope I got the spelling right), in my eyes they're anything but christian etc. So all in all, things might seem one thing btu can appear to be the opposite

  • I like how people go through the facts to debunk zeitgeist. But there are no facts to support what they believe either. lies are everywhere.

  • Mithra is not only a persian god. He's a Vedic indo-iranian god, along with his brother Varuna.

  • I believe Peter Joesoph is an extremely intelligent man and I believe he has good intentions but Part 1 of Zeitgeist the movie just isn't true.

  • @1984vrs peter joseph is a jesuit catholic.

  • I've only watched two-thirds of Zeitgeist: Religion.

Do they ever mentioned that the three days and resurrection are NOT placed anywhere near December 25th (Jesus's often supposed birth), but instead (obviously) at his death? These two stories don't correlate. It seems like they're just taking advantage of the Winter Solstice.

  • Buddy, you just lied at 0:33 "The mysteries were not practiced until the first century AD"

WRONG! The mysteries can easily be traced back to 3000 BC if not 5000 BC and even earlier than that. Some might even consider it to be the "first" religion

  • Don't forget...that the earliest written understanding of christianity was at the very earliest 50 A.D. and that's giving it 10 years that could possibly be false..VERY QUESTIONABLE. Mithra was worshipped PRIOR to when Constantine made Christianity the only belief of Rome. Cannot rule out any influence. As Jesus is a SYMBOL of the SUN---> The light of the world !

  • The information on Mithra is very limited. Very Vague to say the least. But we do know Mithra symbolized the SUN. A " key " to understanding Mithra. What was understood about the SUN then ?

Born again-Death-Resurrection-4 seasons-12 constellations ? Was the Romans aware or involved with astrology ? Because the information was somewhat hidden and not supplied in any written form...it's hard to say what was the FULL picture of Mithra. But we do know it was the belief of the ROMAN SOLDIERS. PRIOR

  • i have more to study about myths...but zeitgeist is right about moving forward and becoming resource dependant....this is a decent counter but let's not forget things like the earth is 74% water and some people have minumal amounts

  • I saw some one mention Jordan Maxwell.. That guy is so pitiful, I feel sorry for him. He seems stuck in a deep rut and misled others into that rut.

  • @RKarshenas oh but he is an alien emissary LOL oh Jordanis Maximus

  • Unfortunately, few watch this and many watch zeitgeist.

It's the old saying 'A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes'.

I find both film and author repelling. I wouldn't find that if I could spot honest mistakes, and fewer, but the itention during the compilation of information was more deception and advancement of a political and philosophical agenda than information.

  • its clearly intended to mislead, Maxwell the base of most of the knowlege, has also been exposed as fraud as well.

  • What are you talking about? Refer to what i wrote, don't just randomly throw a religion comment in. Makes no sense at all with regard to my point or the points made in the video.

  • Your "old saying" implies that Peter Joseph's films are "lies" whereas the above film is the "truth" which could not be further from accurate. In fact, Peter Joseph hosts a bi-weekly radio address in which he discusses, among many other pertinent subjects, the truth behind the refutations and where the mistakes lie in the majority of arguments against the truth behind the Zeitgeist movies.

Many of the "lies" the above film covers are nothing more than a lack a research on its' author's part.

  • I don't think youtube gives us enough space to discuss the details properly. But know that this isn't the only film or only source i have read supporting the view that zeitgeist I is disingenuous. I have books about asian and egyptian mythology my parents brought from india and egypt when they were travelling. I did check the information presented by zeitgeist and didn't find a bit that supports the claims concerning these two mythologies. Not one. This film confirms this.

  • Have you researched Asharia S's references to confirm whether or not they are disingenuous? I have listened to her on numerous occasion deffend her work and it alwyas tends to come down to a disagreement in interpretation of some text somewhere and the meaning behind them.

One example is this, Isis was indeed a Virgin during Horus's birth because Gods of these mythologies could not be deflowered, they were incorruptible and thus, eternal virgins.

    What are your thoughts?

  • No to the first question. Neither has she confirmed her critics references to be disingenuous. That's not the way to go primarily because there are way too many.

As to gods being deflowered, i can't confirm that. I have not read about that claim. It is clear that this claim is at best indirect - all gods in mythologies were x, therefore they borrowed x from christianity regardless of time or sense - or at worst not well researched. But i don't think we have the space for such discussions here.

  • I have to admit that I do not know enough about many other mythologies to confirm as to whether or not they have the same virginity rules but I know enough about ancient Egyptian mythology to believe this claim to be true.

You bring up an interesting point though, if God was the only one of his kind than why would he command that "Thou shalt put no other 'Gods' before me?" If he was the only one than why would he care right?

  • Better discuss that with people who are erudite in christian theology, i'm not. This is not to say i don't know a reason, just that i'm not going to play advocate or prosecutor of christian beliefs. What is important is whether or not the theory presented in zeitgeist one is true. We will not be able to find an agreement here.

  • If Egyptian gods cannot be deflowered, the concept of virginity is meaningless for them. Also, Isis conceived of Horus after copulating with Osiris' reassembled corpse, i.e. having sex. Miraculous but hardly virginal. So it is not a mere matter of interpretation. Arch S's claims are nonsense.

  • Facts? She makes claims, claims that have no basis in reality. Mrs S might be an atheist (or whatever) but her conviction must be that weak that she needs to convince herself that Jesus didn't exist to keep her from believing in him. I've got news for you: there are many people in this world that do not worship Christ without denying his existence (a fact of history), just as there are countless people not believing in others without denying their existence.

  • well put, id say enough said but i dont beleive in miracles

  • @McClinchey

That's a sensbible, non-believing comment. Everyone is free to believe or disbelieve in miracles. That's completely different from the fictionizing work of bogus films like Zeitgeist.

  • Another error with the Sirius-Three Kings connection is that Sirius is made up of 2 stars, Sirius A and Sirius B.

Furthermore, Sirius' nickname is not "Three Kings" as Peter Joseph claims, but "Dog Star"

  • Sirius is indeed made up of 2 stars, but it is perceived as one star by the naked eye. People 2000 years ago would not have known it was a binary star.

The 'Three Kings' is said to refer to the 3 stars in Orion's belt, not Sirius. No one has ever claimed the Three Kings referred to Sirius itself.

There may be errors in the film but these are not them.
