If you're into any sort of art/design either professionally or as a hobby, then a tablet is absolutely essential IMO. I got mine off ebay for less than 30 quid, and it's the best 30 quid I ever spent.
This was my second time only working with photoshop and a tablet. I was still unfamiliar with how versatile the program and the tablet could be, and as such this picture took about 3 hours longer than it should have. Now I could probably do it in just over an hour as opposed to 5 that it took. It's done in a single layer, which makes it more awkward, plus the fact its in B&W, whereas if I were to do it now, it would be full color.

I can certainly understand what you mean about her face being more oval in shape. I felt the same. In fact, the video here has made it look slightly off because of the aspect ratio. The proper image is spot on as I used the lasso tool around the original in photoshop and dragged it over to compare when it was complete to make sure. I'll be hosting all original work on a web page soon so you can look at it in proper form. Thanks.
