I've always wonderd... do the little mario carachters make the sound or do you pick the instruments and the carachters are just the notes? P.S It was the best Mario Paint song I've ever heard! :)

(reply to Mother3fan101) each sprite(or whatever they really are) has an instrument assigned to it. i.e. flower= trumpet, coin= piano, gameboy= 8-bit sound. there are different "soundfronts" you can download to get different instruments though, such as the hard rock soundfront which would turn stars from a twinkle sound to a guitar note and so on.

Okay, you make it better with Mario Paint's limited instruments and no soundfont. The calm bit you mentioned is the ending to the song. I left that and the intro out for ease of looping, and because they only play at dawn and dusk IIRC.
