Ha. "Strobe wasn't meant to remixed". Who said that? Deadmau5 himself? First off its electronic so it's prime remix material and you can't really think that a person will hear a song and think, "oh this is obviously not meant to be remixed". In my opinion Strobe is way to slow. There is certain music that can be slow and electronic is definitely NOT one of them. If anything this is an improvement upon the original. Sure it is repetitive but so was the original to some extent. All music is.

You can rip off the notes from strobe and throw them into anything and it will sound good. and that's a fact, because the notes are so great. 95% of the time when you hear a good remix it's an official remix because the Artist WANTED it to be remixed. lol, are you serious? There's all kinds of electronic music that is slow. Synthesizers came way before house music.

I've heard plenty of "unofficial" remixes that are great. And when you say that 95% of all good remixes are official, that is you own opinion. One of which is his "signature" sound which I just can't stand. This isn't even a remix, this is a bootleg... The beat is good (drums). But I hate his choice of sounds and this bootleg is way too repetitive for my tastes. and, of course the notes are good but those are deadmau5's...
