thanks a lot man..i'm a beginner and i got lots of knowledge from your videos...in my country there lots of music freak but nobody seem to make a kind like your musics...i want to learn much to make such music. i believe it will make a breaktrough here..once again thanks a lot and please don't stop to share your knowledge..i'm really appreciate your kindness... :)
Man all of your tutorials or good, like you say they are basic, but I'm a beginner, so this is what I need, and when your recording do you start it then jump in your booth, or does your partner click record?
currently, im trying to set up my own home studio and some of this stuff is very new to me. i do have a few questions. what would you recommend for recording with an upright piano? if you can't create a vocal booth in your home, how could you create an isolated/small area? if you have a naked room, should the entire room be foam covered?
Hey David,Im using Sonar 7.2 Studio Edition. Quick question. When I record my Hook/Chorus and I copy and paste to the rest of the hook points through the song, the second hook is never on beat, I try to line it perfect but it never is ontime like the first hook.
is there a snap to grid or something that will get all 3 or 4 hooks/chorus exactly the same.
Audacity is open source and has qualities. It's good for recording and podcasting stuff but that's it. Not music production. (it wasn't made for that)
The peaks should hit around -6DBFS on the VU meter whilst setting the gain. The gain on every pre-amp/interface is slightly different so you can't just say hey put it to 45 for it to always be good.
hey wats up, what do u think i should get, i have a home studio and i have a tascam us 122 interface and i'm on a mac using cubase, do u think i should get logic studio or logic express 8?

Is Audacity a good program. Im on a tight budget and it's free so i was wondering if i should just buy pro tools or stick with it
xXxHAAZYxXx 2 years ago
anything free has risks
davidthegreat99 2 years ago
Save the money and invest in pro tools Audacity is garbage...if it was a good, credible program it would not be free.
