  • with those shocks and power, its easy to do such a wheelie. And no there wouldnt be more vids....because its a rare possibility to have such a road that has a small ramp and then flat surface on a fast road. :)

Also, why would someone do it? its a race, not a freestyle. :D

  • Brent Grizzle was in the plane as Robbie Gordon in the first truck that became a trophy truck flew through the Imperial County dessert. That truck is now campaigned by Rivera Racing. The balance on the truck was all very new. What a great racer. Bob Gordon was in the helicopter with Brent, who by the way was the SCORE Class one champion in 1996 in one of the first a-arm JIMCOs ever built.

  • WOW!

  • I bet he just gunned it and was like O SHIT!!

  • who cares who it is, this shit's mad sick!!!

props to whoever film this and to the man driving the truck!!

  • My little brother does this everyday on his tricycle! Nothing special! Give him 10 minutes in the truck and he will be able to do it down the street and hold it up longer then Robby Gordon! Hes a overgloried amatuar!

  • Robby is one of the greatest "all around" race car drivers in American history.

I always got a laugh when those "Nascar only" race fans would talk trash about him.

  • Good video its a shame the video was recorded on a calculator

  • Who gives a fuck how he wheelied!!!! He fucking wheelied!!

  • Bottom like the F*cking truck did a F*cking wheelie, now shut up about it!

  • David Blane was riding shotgun and held it up with his magic..

  • this is the best shot of a trphy truck from a heli.

if anybody rides a quad or dirtbike, or even a monster truck. would figure out that horsepower and rollers equal wheelies!

  • if anybody rides a quad or dirtbike, or even a monster truck. would figure out that horsepower and rollers equal wheelies!

  • Damn some people on here are mentally challenged. To every person that claims "wind", look at how still the bushes are, there is not dust trail blowing over the surface of the desert, in fact there isn't even wind in the video, his dust trail just sits there. Pay more attention to details dumb fucks. Also that is Robby G. I dont know what deeejay is talking about, he must smoke crack. also the jump did help the truck lift, but you cannot deny the fact that he lifted it up under horse power

  • If you are traveling 90pmh. That means on a non windy day the windspeed passing the truck is 90mph. When you have 140 Square feet of surface under the truck that 90mph of windseed translates into a lot of lift....Wheelie on a street bike from a stop. Then wheelie on a street bike at 90mph. Tell me what you feel. The bike will require less throttle once up in the air to continue the wheelie. The bike is more aerodynamic under it than the truck.

  • @QuattroStig unless you have that thing they call balance then you can ride a wheelie all day with little to no throttle (on a bike of course) not truck

  • Everyone here needs a physics lesson.1)Yes the bump induced the wheelie. 2)Yes air caught the bottom of the truck and lengthened the wheelie. 3)And yes the high output of the truck helped.

    @GreenTruckGuy200

Your an idiot. Hurricanes and tornados lift cars by blowing high speed winds at the more aerodynamic front, rear, or sides of a car/truck. Not directly at the bottom. That was a very stupid comparison.

  • just so everybody knows that is robby and the truck was built by kevin bunderson. the truck was originally owned by frank vessels and robby bought that truck from scoop after robby raced it in the baja 1000. i know this because my dad built that truck.

  • For all my east coast friends, this is what we do in Barstow

  • What's the point of fighting? He wheelied that monster whatever anyone says, just enjoy the video :)

  • pure horsepower

  • Great Vid. Thanks.

  • THE ONLY THING THAT HAPPEND WAS THE JUMP HE DID. THERE WAS THE JUMP AS SOON AS THE REAR TIRES HIT THE GROUND HE FLOORED IT. ITS LIKE WHEN U DO THAT WITH A QUAD OR BIKE. BUT WITH THE TRUCK IT WAS POSSIBLE DO TO ALL THE HORSE POWER AND TORQUE THE TRUCK HAD.

  • That isnt Robby Gordon in the video it was Larry Plank (RIP) and thats a ProTruck, not a Trophy Truck

  • @deeejay02 Pro Truck wasn't around in '95.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 yea it was actually

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 is not robby gordon is bob gordon

  • @deeejay02 that gordon, i have his video with him only in it called against the grain , and thats in it

  • @deeejay02 dude, it is from the rebound of the shocks and him flooring it.

  • @6661a7xdecendant exactly

  • it was the wind because if you look at the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender there is a huge gap right when he hits the bump/dip and that gets air under the truck (which is traveling close to 140mph) thus causing the wheelie. he then let of the gas (slowing down) and the front end come down smoothly.

ps it doesnt matter if the bottom is perfectly smooth or not if its 8ft x 20ft

  • big shitt quallität video!

  • he hit a bump at the right time and gave it gas. man u guys are retarded those trucks have 1000 + horsepower. there was no wind involved. FUCK. watching people fight on youtube is like watching the special olympics.

  • @Motorider1013

I'll go for the special Olympics. At least those guys actually try to do something good with their spare time, and they're truly accomplishing stuff, hard stuff (proportionally). But retarded youtubers are retarded and don't even attempt to pull their heads out of their asses.

  • dude these trucks have close to 1000 hp on top of that if it comes up in the air like that the body catches so much wind its not even funny

  • no..its a old style trophy truck and the bottom kinda acts like a wing but nw there all built different so it doesnt do it anymore

  • that was just lucky he did get it up that long

  • when the front of the truck came up, the truck had enough power and torq to keep the front end up..just like when u ride a quad threw a whoop section..suspension rebounds fast enough to pop the front end up and u can ride a wheel out of it..these things have over 800hp..doesnt surprise me he rose out like that

  • Classick! xD

  • thats epic

  • hey thats wen i was born

  • @hugebigpenis yeaa your user name pretty much confirms you were born that year

  • Sweet wheelie

  • thats freaking awesome !!!!

  • :((((((( i wish i can have 1 of these

nothing can stop me with it

  • happy birthday robby gordon video, lol

  • Robby did it agian

  • He is the MAN!!!

  • Chuck norris had a kid.

    His name has robby gordon

I don't know why they have diff last names but i happened

  • if chuck norris had a kid it could have any last name. casue you knwo what? its chuck's kid!!

  • @vivalabullet best comment ever!!!

  • i wish the video quality was better, your a badass if you can wheelie a trophy truck, or foxbody mustang haha

  • It aint the wind u moron....are u 11 or what???

  • dude december 2 1995 is my b-day thats weired

  • dude my b-day is december 2 1992..haha sweet

  • my bady is dec 2 2003, haha cool

  • Robby Gordon isn't doing a wheelie, the Earth is just tilting away from his foot out of fear of getting stomped through the cab floor.

  • thats a chuck norris-isume

  • when chuck norris does push ups he pushes the world down

  • I'm sure horsepower and suspension had nothing to do with it either huh? ....jackass......gust of wind lol

  • yes the bottom of the truck acts like a wing on a airplane which provides lift which helpd the truck

  • Not true, if it were there would be more vids of TTs doing the same thing, LeMans prototypes do as you say, but that is do to them having flat bottoms, the bottom of a TT is not flat at all.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 when it has the metal cover for protecting the parts on the bottom it does

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 i want to add to that,, that the weight-placing, torque and grip must be really good in order to do this... and lift isn't created that easy on low speeds with things that heavy... it's not as if it's all about aerodynamics (some, but not much) it's just alot of power and brute force :D

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 it is flat bur it isn't leveled.. it has lots of protective covers underneath.. anyway thas an old comment lol

  • @skoalmansheppard probably shouldn't have said airplane, more like like a wedge against air, gonna go up. Nobody seems to realize the power to wheels has more to do with it than anything else.

  • @skoalmansheppard You're stupid.

  • yall r some stupid fuckers do yall not get the fact that he caught a gust of wind

  • We're stupid? You're the one saying that non-hurricane, and non-tornado force winds held up a 4k+ pound truck.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 Robbys on a staightaway here I think you have to say the wind (100+mph) contributed to this wheelie, not that a Trophy Truck couldn't do it off that incline on brute horsepower anyways.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 Did you not notice the many other factors involved; speed, the bump, wheel torque? Learn some basic physics, or drive a truck at speed.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 at speed you dont need hurricane foce winds if any wind caught the underside, due to a bump or anything it would have pushed it up than he keep the speed therefore continuing the flow of air against the truck lifting it highter and revealing more surface for the wind to catch and continue the motion.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 Think it like this, you are going to jump in a 800 hp machine that weights 1500 kilograms, you accelerate but the rear wheel doesnt lift, so you have the 800 hp machine in 2 wheel, it isnt required more than the 40% of the gas to keep the front wheels up for at least 10 seconds. This machines are awesome man, they are amazingly powerfull and light, it is very easy to pull a wheelie in a little hill.

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 it sure would help lift it. the truck is probs doing almost 100mph. theres your hurricane winds. ever seen a dragster catch wind? how bout the top fuel boats. wind will pick them up and throw them 30ft in the air. so why wouldnt it allow a 1000hp truck do a wheelie after the bad bounce of the jump which threw the front of the truck up.

  • @wesdyck19 because those top fuel dragsters have 10,000 hp and 8,000 ftlbs of torque. i should know ive raced in the baja.

  • @blakegorman69 go to the drags and ask a driver. they estimate they have 8000hp. they dont even know themselves because you cannot dyno a top fueler.

  • @wesdyck19 my step cousin is keith black. ive build fuilie motors. weve built a 604 pontiac that pumped out 13,000 hp. reason we didnt put in on a rail is because it snapped every pair of axles we had on the hook up.

  • @blakegorman69 obviously youre lying. because you CANNOT dyno that much hp. you can think youre making 13000hp all you want. youre full of shit bud

  • @wesdyck19 You know what man, were both smart guys obviously. So just forget this ever happened. You Tube fights are for 12 year olds..

  • @blakegorman69 agreed lol

  • @GreenTruckGuy200 he said 'yall' isn't that enough to see he doesn't know what he's talking about?

  • @skoalmansheppard All of you are stupid if you guys knew anything you would know that Daviv Blane was riding shotgun and held it up with his magic..

  • @skoalmansheppard no, if you watch, he just catches the face of that "bump" then with his right foot through the floor board, the back wheels had the power to just raise the front end up and hold it up. its the same when your on a quad or dirtbike, and lean back a lil (dont have same power to wheight ratio as the tt) and hit a bump. you will go into a wheely. its just how it works. and he probly got a lil airborn, and the rotation of the rear wheels probly got him up that high

  • Respond to this video... just like when your on a dirtbike and your in the air, you pull the brake, the nose drops. hit the gass, and the nose will rise, and it will also drop the rear end. so on a small bump it will just drop you into a wheely

  • @skoalmansheppard atleast we dont butt fuck our cousins you fucking hillbilly

  • That's fuckin' awesome.

  • Wow, thats BADASS!!!

  • now the trans motor and axel are all bassed off of the same stuff that came in the old fords

  • I wish I could meet him;(

  • still robby can drive the shit out of a dodge ,chevy, ford, toyota. it dont matter hes still gonna put his foot trhu the floor

and if it dont break hes gonna win

  • it doesnt even got to do with dealerships and brands, its not like they sell that truck at your local dealer, some cases they might have a ford body with a chevy motor its very common in pre-running, and nothing is stock, that isnt an f-150 anymore...

  • it never was its a tube frame

  • yup it is really a plastic shell that looks kinda like the truck. thats all they have in common really

  • Just because they sell well doesn't mean its a good truck. 90% of people don't even take their trucks off road. Dodge or Jeep. or Chevy. just not a ford

  • FORD

  • your a bitch. don't get pissy cause you own a ford.

  • haha is that y fords doing better then anyother dealership and ther the best selling truck out bitch dont get pissy over that muthafucker....

  • here are the numbers for march 2009. other brands on the list did better than ford. add up the numbers. hey at least ford circles the problem on all there cars (ford is circled on the logo). * Ford F-Series: 32,728 * Toyota Camry: 25,783 * Chevy Silverado: 23,508 * Honda Accord: 22,722 * Toyota Corolla: 22,257 * Honda Civic: 20,645 * Nissan Altima: 19,521 * Dodge Ram: 19,328 * Chevy Malibu: 14,772 * Honda CR-V: 12,959

  • Am i missing something.. This list shows Ford outsold everyone else.. At least in pick-up's which is exactly what kenmister said.. sooo you.. are.. dumb?

  • If I'm not mistaken the F-series has 8 different models, so the F-150 sales are only a fraction of that number

  • There are 6 that in know of if you include the f450/550/650 which arent typical trucks. I dont know of 8.. There are different configurations, and special vehicles like the Harley Davidson, but thats still an F150

  • I remember seeing an 850 once but I could be wrong, either way you get the point

  • hhahahahhahahaahah FTW!!!

  • clearer version on my page

  • PsychopathicLlama is just a little bitch lol

  • not much FORD left on that truck to call it

    a fucking ford.

he dose run some very nice gear tho.

  • ford 351 and a ford c6 trans

  • actually hes running a menards 398ci small black CHEVY with a turbo 400 trans.... so um..... so much for ford.

  • your fucken dumb dude look at the truck its a ford. he just started driving a chevy like 4 years ago

  • Comment removed

  • he should just stick to this and not nascar

  • uuuhuhuhuhu yheeeea wtf

  • luved how he neva letted off the pedal!!!!

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Robby Gordon is a beast

  • I have to agree, he is a beast at racing most anything but NASCAR...

  • YYYYYYEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAA

  • big ford power!

  • I did that once! .......no I didn't.....

  • your comment is hilarious!

  • sweet

  • HOLY ****!!!!!

  • he has a C1500 and a hummer. he just raced his chevy truck in the baja 1000, but rolled it. you can look up a video of it here, its called robby gordon testing for 2008 baja or something.

  • want

  • whoaaaa....cool + awesome + great ...arghhhh....

  • Hehe, cool:)

  • se paso de verga el roby con ese wheely

  • wow that is fucking badass

  • Vid works for me

  • The power of FORD!!! :)

  • doesn't robby gordon drive chevy

  • In his Younger days of racing. he drove Ford. only when he was beeing looked at. GM picked him up! i think in the 97-98 i think! :)

  • He used to drive a Ford, and for a brief stint he even had a Toyota emblem on his TT.

  • Yes he does but don't tell peejaa that!

  • what? that he drove a ford long ago and now chevy? you make no sense

  • A hummer now

  • you mean wind

  • peejaa

The power of FORD SUCKS!!! :)

  • I still see the vid, could be because its still in my cookies. I got the vid from RDC's archive, so Klaus would have every right to get it pulled.

  • NEVER LIFT!

  • Words to live by! They should make that the official slogan for Desert Truck racing!

  • NEVER LIFT!

  • i call that tuesdays

  • Just a normal day of driving for that guy.

    He can do it all.

  • that was robby gordons '66 ford class 8 truck that he raced for a long time....that truck was pulling over 1600 h.p......talk about some serious balls!!

  • holy shitt ive never seen a truck do a wheelie :)

  • that was fn sick huh.

  • lol i know but those trophy trucks have balls hah

  • that was the shit, those trucks have awesome power

  • i think he let off a lil to get the front down

  • looks like he had no choice... Wicked!

  • Cool GO ROBBY!!!!!!

  • The sweetest part is you can watch him steering the truck with the front wheels as he runs the wheelie... When nature gives you an opportunity, run with it.

  • nice but if u want a 9 year old in a sandrail type in sandrail wheelie the car is green its insane

  • yeah but sandrails are easier to wheelie than baja/trophy trucks, so yeah, this is pretty amazing also...

  • its not insane sandrails r rear engine and very light its easy to wheelie them if u can work the clutch, that kid is nothin special, but a front engine truck that is skill

  • what do you mean that kid is nothing special thats robby gordon how is he not special you do a wheelie in a trophy truck then talk shit

  • no i mean the kid that wheelied the sand rail, i am sayin that this guy has some skill.

  • Nice

  • OMG!!!!

  • ALV :)

  • legend

  • sweet to the beat

  • robby gordon are so expert in thropy
