@Forthevline Well yes, it is AM3 compatible, my question was about the temps..mine are very high and ambient is 26 or 27C in the room with another PC running as well

@farmdve, since the cooler has a 4-pin fan connector, that means you can control the fan manually. Using software of course.

Speedfan would be a good one, as it is specially designed to control fans connected to the motherboard. Adjust your fan speed accordingly. :)

Hey, would this work well with a Phenom 3.4GHZ 965 black edition?

and will it be quiet, because this is the main reason i want one of these because the stock cooling is too loud.

@bffalcon Yes i have one installed on my monster rig that has a 965 BE... but i changed to the fans to more powerful LED fans... The Stock fan was quite quiet but i am looking for looks + performance. so i changed the fan to 2 (Push/Pull) Blue LED fans that had more Airflow.

@Geoxile, it's hard to tell above the fans in my case, but I could imagine it's quite quiet. It has a 4 pin power connecter, so I'm sure you could regulate the payload.

@jmontague, It's probably about 170mm, including the Motherboard. The cooler is about 159mm by itself. Check your case manual for the dimensions of the case
