hey guys, im looking to buy an acoustic guitar. And i was wondering if you guys could help me out? Is there a sound difference between an electric acoustic guitar and a normal acoustic guitar. Thnx =D
Hi i have a question. does an electric acoustic guitar work if the battery is empty? like the playing will it work? I know the tuner won't work anymore but the guitar itself with chords and stuff will that still work or become really weak? or is the battery strictly for amping your guitar up to something? thank you.
@Hollywoodgirl1010 If the amplifier is put on it will act as a elctric guitar but will not completey lose that acoustic feel, when the ampiflier is put off it will play like a normal acoustic guitar for example check out my Ibanez V72ECE.
thanks, this video and this loudmouth convinced me to buy Godin A6 Ultra, an excellent guitar at a good price. Throw him a bad presenter of the product.
Recently I played a lighty used Ovangkol variant (no binding) unplugged. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall comfort and unamplified sustain; a very difficult guitar to put down!
@darkoanton5 Even the steinberg sounds electric if your not using a PA or acoustic amp. My T5 is awesome for acoustic and electric stuff, I like the fact that it doesn't use a piezo system for the acoustic stuff, piezos sound itchy to me. I don't use as much treble on my electric amp settings and it sounds as thick as my Les Paul and PRS single cut on the electric stuff, if i crank the treble it goes into Tele territory.
@Wcburg1 Go listen to Joe Pass, Jack Pearson, Warren Haynes, Julian Bream, John Williams, George Benson & then let's talk abpout who is "ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD!
@anthonycrystal33 Lets get angry!!! You might want to check him out in performance. There is a difference between playing to teach and playing to entertain. Google "David Taub in concert"
holy fuck, this is the worst review I've ever seen.
6 and a half minutes of talking, followed by 4 and a half minutes of playing basic chords in the same setting, with the exact same tone. 11 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
holy crap dude! just play the thing!! Seriously, we have all been playing guitar to know how to adjust pick ups.OMG and why are you playing basic chords??? Its a taylor man! Jam on it!! im out
Thank you for going through all the switches and settings. People can be so rude! If you don't like this presentation, find one that better fits what you want. I bought a T5 in 2004 and I love it but I needed this info about the 2 amps etc. Thanks.
I am not a tuning purist but you could really tune your guitar if you make a goddamn video. I waited for 6 minutes and then couldnt listen to it because it is so out of tune.
you idiot, you dont start even talking about actually playing the guitar until the 5 minute mark then spend another 1:40 TALKING ABOUT THE FUCKING THING. I do want to hear about the craftsmanship etc, but i want to hear the thing be played first to see if its worth listening douchebag

Taylor T5 , beautiful guitar but somehow don't like how it sounds. I woudn't say that it's an electric-acoustic guitar, it's rather a half electric - half acoustic one ( a bit "handicapped" ). I was planning to buy one but not anymore. Dissapointed ... after I've watched almost all the videos on youtube about T5...
you can hear how it has a plastic back to it. it sounds more electric than acoustic. sorry but there will never be a true acoustic and electric in one guitar. nothing beats the sound of a pure quality electric (les paul or telecaster etc) or a martic or taylor dreadnaught acoustic. theres just too much in sound dynamics to make both acoustic and electric in one guitar.
i played one today actually and I found it real easy to get to grips with, coming from an electric guitar background I have to say that its body construction and weight distribution are just like they would be on an electric, so, in short, no xD
well, you can, and most are surprisingly loud acoustic, with not too bad an acoustic sound.. I worried about this myself when I was buying and the thing to remember is that whilst you CAN play it unplugged, the 5 way system (the whole idea behind the T5) is only in use when you play it electrically...
