Solo climbing is a great tool for super-fast ascents in many types of climbing; it allows you to climb long routes fast and fluently. Climbing this insignificant 5metre lump of ice without ropes or screws (and 3 potential belayers watching) is one of the most idiotic things I’ve seen on Youtube. I guess the “Adventure King” needs to spend more time with real climbers and cut the Bear Grylls wannabe cr#p!
Bloody hell - that was unroped. He is damned luck he did not put his points thru his leg. I fell unroped on a pillar and put the pick of my ice axe thru my right hand. Not fun.
