It sounds like in the process of using all real instruments you made the song too difficult to play, and had to sort of adapt it.. that's why I'll always like digital better..

Until Super Mario World, Bowser was actually scary. But look at him in Super Mario Galaxy - way too cute!

Also compare the Bowser Castle Theme from Super Mario Kart with the ones from Double Dash or Mario Kart Wii.
