Your an idiot, do you even pay attention to the text and or storyline? They didn't hve any means of defense and Bastilla did not get to use her Battle Meditation because the sith attacked way to fast, they drove to close to a sith controlled planted leading to the ships destruction. She is so important because she is said to be the key to the entire war effort, if she is lost the sith could possibly win the war. Please learn your shit before doing a LP of a game.

ill answer your question, why not other ships were around with bastila? thats a military tactic, smaller numbers attract less attention, larger numbers will get allot of attention

The answer on your question at 2:10: the Republic is weakened by the Jedi Civil War, their numbers dwindle and they cannot afford to offload a bunch of capital class ships at one destination, while leaving other sectors unprotected by the lack of ships.

I like Taris quite alot, i think theres alot to do while your there.. My favorite world is Manann though.. i think it has a good concept (the neutral world suck between two warring factions)
