  • well ive been missing that quarter heart for ages..the 24th...weird to see it happen as i have loved and played thru this game like crazy and still never found that piece 15 years later! Thanks!

  • @bushmen123 It never dawned on me that yea i can't reach that tunnel and mirror image it in the dark world... I would just enter that door, and carry on...Nintendo did an excellent job with this game tho...

  • I am playing this now and this is a tremendous help. Thanks and happy holidays an New Year!

  • I have just got all heart containers and had an epic fight against the last boss in this video to get the last piece and container. Luckily I won with one heart left.

  • 8:00 how'd you get there?

  • @acidglow SW room in B1 in Level 7, before you get the mirror shield.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this. Started playing this again the other day and completely forgot where #24 was. Only thing I was missing :)

  • 7:22 WTF?!

  • @gamemonkey44 Yeah there are some invisible platforms there, you can make them visible by using the ether medallion. I didn't use it there because I already knew the path from my head.

  • I've never been able to get to the ledge where the 24th heart piece sequence begins....how on earth do you get there?

  • @MasqueJynx Oh, this has been asked a lot now, I'll probably add that to the FAQs...

You must go to dungeon 7 in the Dark World (Turtle Rock). There in the very southwest room of the B1 floor, place a bomb on the southern wall, this will lead to the "balcony" which you can see in the video.

  • For those of you wondering how to get the heart piece from the digging game. You have to dig at least 30 holes for it to appear.

  • how do you teleport to the island in the lake on 13/24?

i know how to use the mirror like in the mountains to change, but there's no icon in the lake to change with.

  • @jgk381 In order to use the mirror, you either have to stand on solid ground or in this case where the water isn't too deep, so that you can stand, you can't use it while swimming. And of course you have to be in the Dark World in order to teleport with the mirror, it doesn't work the other way around.

  • @bla287 Thanks. I figured it out, but I got a problem now. I was in the dark world at the spot in 13/24 where the heart is, so I teleported to the light world onto that island and got the heart, but then I fell off into the water. Now I'm stuck in the light world and my teleportal hole is up on that island. Any other way to get back to the dark world, or do I have to go back to my last save point? (i'm playing on emulation online) Can I go back to the mountain and enter the DW there? Thanks

  • nvmnd, i got it. I started back at the mountain and teleported back to DW, then bombed myself til no hearst left so I could restart and get off the mountain and it restarted me back on top of the pyramid in the dark world. whew that was close, thought i'd have to start all over.

  • @jgk381 Oh, after getting the Master Sword, you can always simply go through the entrance of Hyrule Castle, this will automatically warp you to the DW

  • 7:20 I never found those boots and I couldnt get that piece of heart. I finished the game with 19 3/4 hearts lol. Thanks for the video!

  • @1AngelSolo You don't need boots for that one...

  • @nubzaquer Ok, i thought i needed, my bad. I already know you just need to walk over thin air... thx!

  • OMG ONLY 1 PIECE LEFT

  • @lapenunu me too :( this video do not explain everything

  • @unmeinodenai Uhm, when you have one heart piece missing but don't remember which one you didn't get, then there's no other way than checking out all the possible spots. Other than for example Twilight Princess, this game didn't tell you exactly which one you're missing.

  • thx dude now I have ALL 20!:))

  • When I was younger, I never had the patience for the digging game. I'd get the 19th heart and just stop looking for more. The sad thing is, until I saw this video, I'd totally forgotten where two of the four heart pieces from Death Mountain were. So that's why I needed this video.

The file I'm playing now will be my first 20 heart game.

  • awesome! Got them all too!!!! Thx ;)

  • Hey guys did you know that one of the most popular video games of all times was released in GERMAN?! (Shocking isn't it?)

  • Please, no flaming under my videos guys! I deleted irrelevant comments.

  • @bla287 I remember when I actually got all the heartpieces. What made me angry the most was the DIGGING game

  • this was the longest game i played in my life when i was young i almost broke it when i could not complete it :)

  • I didn't know where that last heat piece was. Thanks for telling me, now I can put this game to rest once and for all...and by put to rest I mean able to really do 100% when I sit down to play.

  • """ Remember if you go to the Fairy Cave in the light world, " Where the 5th crystal entrance is.. If you put 100 rupees in the Water the Fairy will come out and grant you to carry more bombs and Arrows up to a max of 70 arrows and 50 bombs

  • Thx for the Help dude!

  • Thank you I have 5 heart containers now!

  • @leppaberry make that 6

  • Thank you!! Now I have them all. By the way, why is your game in German?? And I also saw another videos of this game in French... I mean, I'm from Mexico and my game is in English. Or is this a special version, or what??

  • @audixv Yes, this game's version is German (I'm German too). I don't know how many translations of the game exist, I've seen Japanese, English, German and French until now and unlike it is the case with more modern Zelda games, there wasn't one single EU version which lets you choose from 5 languages but there were separate versions for different countries. Maybe there was also a Spanish version released in Spain, I have no idea...

  • i just downloaded this and found this purple chest that follows you, what does it do?

  • @saw4650 You can bring it to the entrance area of the desert (in the Light World) where a guy is sitting next to a sign. It's the one who says nothing if you talk to him before getting the chest, but if you have it with you he'll open it for you and you'll get another bottle!

  • Thanks! I have already completed the game 100% Before but that was a long while ago so i missed No 22!

  • OOOMMMMG i need 2 hearts left but from dungeons...

  • @Joppo644 As far as I know, you cannot leave the boss room in aLttP unless you have collected the heart container (only then will the crystal/medallion come down). I know it because I intended to make a 3 heart run of the game, but it's not possible without hacking.

  • sweet guide man, thanks

  • men thanks for that u rock

  • an easier way to get the digging game heart container is go to the fairy in the swamp that increases your bomb and arrow capacity and throw some rupees in. when you put them in you can change your luck. leave when you have great luck and go digging you should get it in just a few tries. doesn't matter how many holes you dig in thirty seconds. this works with the chest game piece also. i am playing snes version. i imagine the gba version will work too.

  • @sddml81 if anyone needs any help with this game let me know. i have completed this game 100% :-)

  • @sddml81 that's awesome i never realized luck affected that

  • @sddml81 oh man, i did the chest one like 100 times after i finally got the pond thing to say great luck and i still havent got it...

  • the one I missed, was in the digging game... and I even dug the entire game world

  • Thanks a lot....

    you are the best

this video help me so much to get my last heart

thank you so much thanks thanks

  • Damn! You helped me a lot bro!

I was missing 3 pieces but I have something to tell you...

In the last piece of heart containers you kill rat-monsters like

but in my game of A Link To The Past in GBA the monsters are

cyclops =\ They justa had and eye and I have to wait them to open his eyes

to attack them. I was just saying but these videos help a lot man! Nice work!

  • como consigo esos tres objetos de color amarillo?

  • I thought you had to dig the first 2 rows then next to the bush... I guess it's just crazy digging then!

  • Haha spoke too soon. It was 24 I never found -_-

  • @Xerxes4242 Yeah that's a nasty one and IIRC it was the last one I found too. Who'd think of warping to the light world in that special place?

  • @bla287 I swear, I put at least 200 hours into this game when I was about 13... and 50 of them had to be finding that last piece. I was convinced it was in the first castle - there's some walls with bomb holes in it that you can never get to.

Anyone ever hacked that part, and seen what's in there? That was such a tease..

  • @Xerxes4242 Ah, you mean the part in the catacombs (after pushing the throne) and short before arriving in the cathedral? You can actually get there again later in the game, I think you have to push or run into one of the gravestones in the western part of the graveyard, but there are just some treasure chests with 300 rupees and some bombs/arrows, nothing special.

  • I swear I got all of those.. still at 19 3/4 though. Sigh...

  • @Xerxes4242 Same. I'm convinced its the treasure chest house...

  • here is how to get the digging heart piece you got 30 secounds and gotta dig 30 times.

  • @kaell123 Are you playing the GBA version of the game? Because I've heard that several times but couldn't reproduce it on the SNES. Maybe they recognized how hard the heart piece is to get on the SNES and made it easier for the GBA version?

  • @bla287 i do play SNES and a link to the past walkthrough guy said that you have to dig 30 times. but then i just found out i digged 33 times and i got nothing.

  • @bla287 I never had problems getting it on SNES, just go thorugh a couple times. Usually got it first try.

  • thanks a lot man *thumbs up*

  • This guide helps me out a lot thanks for posting it.

  • How do i get into the desert swamp

  • @GreenIInk In the Light World, use the flute/bird to fly to point "6" (in the very southwest of the map) and there you can find a warp point under a stone. You need to have the yellow glove for it and you must have activated the bird (play the flute in front of the statue in Kakariko village)

  • I need help fast , please respond as soon ah possible .

I just got passed Turtle Rock and realized i only had 19 HC and 3 HCP . I checked all the online lists i could find and videos . Then i double checked all the location in this video , and the Zelda Dungeon Walktrough . And I realized i had found all the Heart Pieces , but still the game won't give me that one last Quarter Heart , so I can finally have all the Hearts and go to Ganon's Tower . Please Help .

  • @DattebayoPivot You mkust be missing one, to my knowledge there's no glitch that actually makes you lose hearts. I bet the one you're missing is either in the digging game or in the treasure chest game. Sometimes it can take A LOT of tries until you find it.

  • @bla287 Well thanks . I only tried 7 times each , but I guess I have to put more effort into it . Great vid btw

  • @DattebayoPivot Oh yes, I think it took me up to 30 times in my several playthroughs.

  • Can anyone tell me how to get to (HCP 24/24: Mountain (NE)

  • @DarkTyrant100 You need to find an exit inside the 7th Dark World dungeon, in the southwest corner (one floor below the main entrance floor)

  • @DarkTyrant100 You have to enter through Turtle Rock. Ride through those green tunnels & find the room with the snake tongue that spits fire in the middle, & those weird looking brown things that bounce around with leaves for hair (theres two in the room im talking about) also, there are 4 skulls in each corner of the room. Take the south exit from that room then make a left you should be in a room with those eyes that spit lasers, you will see the exit that leads 2 the balcony

  • Thank you so much!

  • thanks i was missing 17/24 mountain entrance.

  • I was missing that one too :P

  • thanks :)

  • This is the only Zelda game where I didn't need any online help getting everything besides Twilight Princess for... obvious reasons.

    Still, great guide.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've played this game a million times but never got all 20 heart pieces. I have 19 full hearts and one quarter heart piece lol, so this is a life saver. <3

  • THANKS DUDE FINALLY I FOUND ALL PIECES

  • Very helpfull, thanks!!!

  • SWEET THANK YOU for posting this man it helped ALOT

  • i cant get the diging game heart

    waht do you do???

  • No wonder I couldn't find the last one, (the one before the Turtle Rock boss), I was using the mirror on the wrong side of the ledge.

  • nice one

  • Thank you =) <3

  • hey can you tell me which heart piece is located at the digging game

i am too lazy to watch the full video

  • That's #15 at 4:27

  • how did you get into the last ledge in the mountain cave DW 24/24? it's my last one too! thanks.

  • You must go to the southwest corner of B1 when you're in level 7 of the dark world. From there you can leave to the ledge.

  • how'd you do the waterfall thing

  • You mean the Zora's Domain? In the light world, go to the very upper right corner of the map and from there you can enter the area. You need 500 rupees for the flippers and then you can swim. After that you can jump down the waterfall there by simply pressing down.

  • godamnit I'm missing one but I don't know which one!!

  • Oh yeah, I exactly know that feeling :) The only option for you is to check all the 24 locations... the ones that are the easiest to miss are 24/24, 19/24 and 16/24, so I'd suggest to first look for these ones then check for the other ones. But replaying the game is also an option. It's possible to play the whole game in a single segment in around 2:00 hrs, getting 100% of the items (world record ;))

  • Thats what I'm doing now :)

  • one of the most epic games ever made.

i found all pieces of heart without looking them up, except for 22/24 in the NE corner of the desert at 6:42 (cause i never went up there), and 24/24 at 8:05, where you have to go through turtle rock and warp on the ledge.

    thanks for putting this up

  • Yeah, it took me very long to figure out the last one as well (at the time I played this there were no FAQs, walkthroughs etc, I didn't even have internet :D). I think I played thorugh it at least 10 times as a kid and always ended up with 19 1/2 or 19 3/4 hearts before I finally found them all ;)

  • it took me 3 years to beat this

  • Strange... I often hear from various Zelda players that they found aLttP the hardest one, but personally I found that the very first LoZ was much harder (you didn't even know where to place bombs or even where to go), the same goes for later games like OoT and MM (especially for MM I had no chance without walkthroughs, just think about that Stone Tower :X) compared to that I found aLttP quite easy. The Parallel Worlds ROM hack was a real challenge, though ;)

  • yeah i know, the LoZ was like impossible without a walkthrough. But oot and mm, well they weren't easy, but i think twilight princess and wind waker were pretty hard. mostly tp, though....

  • Oh, I haven't played any Zelda game newer than MM, simply because I don't own a Gamecube/Wii (I'm 22 and I still grew up with Nes and SNES :D). It wasn't before 2007 that I played the N64 ones (via Project64 emulator), but I played aLttP around 1995.

Just for comparison: A 100% run of aLttP is possible in ~2 hrs (there's a vid around here), a 100% run of OoT will take you at least 10hrs, I'd say (esp. finding all the 100 Skultullas is a major PITA)

  • it took me and my older brother like 15 years to beat it, its so crazy

  • I've had this game for avout 17 years, and to this day I was only missing two heart container parts (the one in the shovel game, and the one at 8:01) until today, thank you.

  • some1 help plz, i have da master sword and im fighting the wizard at the castle, but i cant win! i cant even hurt him

  • You must reflect the light beams that he sends towards you with either the sword or the bug catching net.

A video where that is shown: watch?v=YE9xrxZPbk0 (add it to the normal YouTube URL)

  • i cant find the DW mountain entrance

  • It's exactly in the same spot where the "normal" Light World mountain entrance is (the one you have to enter prior to getting to the LW mountain palace), just in the Dark World.

Bu to get there, you'll at least need the hookshot and the magic robe.

  • dw?

  • DW = Dark World ;)

  • Thanks, this video helped me find 3 of the final Heart Pieces I needed :)

  • I'll remove this soon, I just need to remember 6:00

  • Updated the description box ;)

  • WTF how do you get to that ledge on the mountain for the last heart?

  • When you're in level 7 of the dark world, go to the southeasternmost (if I remember correctly) room of B1 of the dungeon and go through the door there and you'll be on that "balcony". Now wander a few steps to the right just to the front of the second entrance and use the mirror, that's it ;)

  • (cont)

I think you have to go to that "balcony" anyways prior to getting the mirror shield

  • sweet thanx

  • good vid dude.

  • ohhhhhh myy gooddddddddddd i did the chest one at least 200 times and didnt get it and its my last one

  • I feel you dude but for me its the digging game!!!!!!! erg I hate it. I actually got the heart in the chest the second time i walked in lol lucky me

  • You are the fuckin' man. Thank you.

  • ive done the digging part like 50 times what the hell

  • Yes, that can get really annoying... though I used an emulator w/ savestates to mnake this video, I also had to re-load around 20 times, the same goes for the treasure chest game

  • i got the heart on the 5th try, and i got the treasure chest game one on maybe the 3rd

  • i got this game on my psp..its awesome now i can get all the hearts.

  • Im missing 1 heart piece, but I cant figure out which one I haven't got. :(

  • at 5:57 is the heart always in that treasure chest

  • Unfortunately not, you must try, try and try... ;)

  • Shit dude!! i never know how to do the last full heart you did with the hammer .....5 stars for you....

  • Wait, you can jump over the fence in the maze for the fourth heart? Dammit!

    Where's my Wii?

  • The heart piece you get at 4:23 (when you dig), is the a particular place where you have to dig to get it?

  • No, unfortunately it's always somewhere else. It can take several attempts until you find it ;)

  • i need 1 more hcp and i cant find it i have the it for gba its the same

  • I can't find it too.

    Did you find it already??

  • u sure it wasnt another zelda game?

  • great job, thnx for this

  • THANX!! sooo much guy i needed dis so much...again thnx

  • i remember in the snes i had 3 rows of hearts

  • How that? Have you been playing a ROM hack? Because I can't think of any location in that game I haven't been to yet...

  • i know you found all the locations but i still remember that long ago in the snes i had 3 rows of hearts like 21 of them

  • there is only 2 rows.ive beaten he snes version many many times

  • nicht schlecht...hast das selbst gespielt? 5* zelda ist doch immer noch das beste game :D jetzt egal welches spiel aus der reihe sind alle toll <3
