These are NOT monks, they are novices. To ordain a monk you must be 20 years old. I notice that people are always calling novices monks...nope.

To add to the description bar; I am told it is often considered to be favourable to have spent some time as a monk before getting married. My partner may do that again before we tie the knot. I will try too, even though I don't have to. It's a sort of rite of passage. Although it's not essential it reflects well on your character to have tried it at least once for as long as you like / can.
