You should fix the bottoms of the four mandibular pistons to the jaw, i.e. create two separate models for the two parts of the pistons, and make the opening and closing animations, preferably with plenty of frames. Then, if you're feeling like punishing yourself (or testing/challenging yourself, however you look at it), try and get the speed of the jaw and pistons to sync with the speech.
@programming4fun Then your first project should be to build a time dilation machine to make the weekends longer. That is, if you feel like challenging yourself. ;p
I was wondering about the voice recognition, you say in the comment that you used the Kinect SDK, but how did you program the question/answer do you use some kind of AI or you simply hard-coded some questions?
@gimly Good question! Yes, the speech recognition of the Kinect SDK can only handle a predefined grammar, although some freedom seems possible in the xml files. This is only a quick hack (just for the fun of it). I couldn't see myself writing/buying a better speech recognition engine just for this.
Pretty awesome, but this works for only one person watching the image, right? The Kinect couldn't rotate the image based on the position of two people?
This is way too awesome! I want the Kinect SDK soooooo bad!!!!!!!

@SuperFinGuy Correct, although with LCD shutterglasses in theory it could work for two. See my other video's to see how it works.
