Her father contracted syphilis, and instead of giving it to his wife, he killed himself. Karen lived in the shadows of this and so when she got syphilis from her husband, it hit her hard. She was never the same, and not because of the treatment only. It changed her view of herself.
My dearest Karen I adore you, you arre in my house in each book I own and your portrait is always watching my tales at the table.... with the loved porcelain and cristal you`ve liked so dearly.......
This woman, my idol for over 30 years, was so far ahead of her time. She is the one person, dead or alive, I would love to have dinner with. I find her life fascinating and have collected all of her books and almost any article or anything about her or to do with her. So this video is priceless to me. Thanks.
There nothing to be ashamed about, really. I first discovered her back in the 70s AND I’m a Dane and have been living an hour away from her home in Rungsted. I believe that we discover the real things in life when we’re ready to receive them … if you know what I mean.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Did you see the last interview as well?
Women of that ilk don't exist in this so called modern age.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I knew very little about Karen until a few weeks ago. A truly remarkable lady!
