Some mention of different cockpits would be useful, if only in passing; not least of which the added scnmozzle of our Old Friend the 'ocean cockpit'. Make others aware of our suffering, please - we don't have super-long femurs, just 'snug' apertures... :-)

You forgot to mention the Hip contact. My kayak fits me like a pair of jeans around the hips which makes it handle awesome and rolls easy.

Yes, I am looking into sea kayaks for our local lake. Yea I know its a sea kayak but rec kayaks just don't have what I am looking for. They are so hard to move, but with sea kayaks you move along quickly and easily. Can anyone suggest some sea kayaks to me pleas? (preferably 600 dollars give or take)

Sitting up also helps to keep your balance alot better, or at least it does in river kayaking anyway!
