Probably - it's almost impossible to generate that big an explosion with either gasoline or diesel without meaning to.

And even if it was gasoline, it'd have to be an above-ground container/tank to make a BLEVE out of it.

...I work at a gas station - I think I'm entitled to more than minimum wage, or at least time and a half during severe thunderstorms... I've been in 2 tornado warnings and 1 severe thunderstorm warning in the past 9 days! That's 1/3 of the time I've been in danger. the tanks arent so perfectly close...im talking about the underground tank...i own gas stations...and its really posible...in the sense that the fire above..can incinerate the "gas vapor" when the truck is fueling the tanks...it creats some gas vapor... and the fire..can enter the hole..and omg..never though this could be so dangerous

The explosion of the tanker of gas sets off the gas tanks yards away, setting off high pressured propane tankes yards away that are already heated, but stabled because of the high pressured tanks they were in. So a chain reaction occured. The explosion blows a hole in the ground. Minutes later, tanks of gas in the grown explode, creating another blast similar to the first.

The gas station was already on fire, and that's what the news chopper was covering. Then the station exploded, and they caught it on camera.
