I read somewhere that Will Wright has "expressed wishes to host the game on not just the PC, but many other platforms as well, including the DS, wii, and (im not sure about this one) Xbox..." But I don't think that they would be able to fit a game this amazingly complex (and amazing) on the DS... but I do think that the wii is feasible... but thats just my take on things. :)

no, meteorites are chunks of rock broken off of asteroids, comets are chunks of dirt and ice. big difference
