my guess is it was 800 grit, then 1200, then 2000 grit sandpaper, you can get any kind of swirlmark remover from autozone, or advanced auto, i have the 3m swirl mark remover, and its freaking amazing! like what he used the second time^

The sandpaper looks to be 2000 grit and it is made for wet sanding. and I believe you can get the swirl mark remover from NAPA or a local auto body shop/dealer.
