Paul is the best alive musican in the world, and he still looks so well. i am not gay, but i love him so much. and this wonderful hofner bass and this song. thanks paul for the pleasure to have the beatles, you solo, the wings, the fireman and now you with with this fantastic band alive. it is a great geat joy
I was a about 12 years old when I first heard this on my 'transister' radio! I loved it then and love it now!! Thanks Sir Paul McCartney for entertaining several generations of true rock and roll music fans around this great big globe!! You are the BEST !!!!
McCartney's first Hofner Violin Bass Guitar was purchased in c. 1961 for about 30 pounds sterling. He bought his second one in 1963, and that's the one most people have seen.
McCartney had to take over bass duties when Stu Sutcliffe left the group in 1961, and as a lefty, wanted a symetrical instrument so that he did not "look daft."
who the hell is dave grohl? anyways I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO HAVE BEEN AT THAT CONCERT!!!! but alas, i live in america so i couldnt go obviously. But that crowd is WAY TOO CALM!!!! If I had been there i would have been SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE PAUL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH HE IS MY ABSOLUTE HERO AND HE ROCKS!!!!!!!! I just hate how no one my age seems to like him. I'm fifteen, but wish I lived in the sixties or seventies.
oh yeah!!! the beatles and all of their solo music is waayyyyyyyyyy better than current crap. are the foo fighters good? they cant be that bad if macca has one of them singing with him.
The foo fighters are one of the better bands around today, much better than many american rock bands like korn, blink 182 etc. but they are nothing compared to older bands like the Beatles and led Zeppelin.
korn yes, Blink-182, ill give you is a bit outlandish to be grouped with rock. They are snuggly fit in the pop punk division, and are not too directly connected to just rock n roll.
Got to throw in Black Sabbath. Maybe im a bit biased since ive never liked Nirvana but what did they contribute? Besides yet another musician's life being lost too early.
seems every genre have suffered casualties. But honestly, Nirvana imo is a bit to over zealous for my taste, that striking the common arguement anyone can throw a couple power chords together. Even if Cobain was lost too early, I really want to blame him for the music today, and whom ever said it affected pop punk, wtf?
As much as I love Nirvana, they indirectly inspired a lot of the crappy pop punk we have now. I honestly think if Nirvana never existed, Christian rock would sound very different today. And it might actually be good.
Thats because Paul McCartney has at least a twenty year advantage over Dave. Give Mr Grohl enough time and he'll make loads more music. and eeryone will fucking love it :D
I dont know what crowd your looking at but i sure see a lot of arms raised for people being bored. Watch the video again. I know i sure wouldnt be bored!

dave grohl, one of the most talented men in this worlds history of music, if you dont know who he is then you shouldnt be here today.
yourvideosucks1 3 years ago
Dave Grohl is indeed talented and I have a lot of respect for him and his music.
That said, he hasn't contributed even 1/10th of what McCartney or at least a dozen others I can name right offhand have to Rock n Roll.
3fingersalute 3 years ago 5
i think thats a bit hyperbole. nirvana had a a huge impact on music
not nearly as much as beatles but probably the biggest since the beatles
