David Karoly is a child. he doesn't even allow the skeptic scientist to list scientific facts from the program. he interjects so that the people listen pay more attention to his outbursts then the credible information the skeptic has to say. So a proper climate science professor tries to keep the journalists on the topic and he suffers interjection and is then silenced after revealing the fact that there has been no warming since 1998.

This is typical of the Gov't funded Australian Broadcasting Commission who have publicly stated that they only support global warming theorists.

Doing a search on corrupted data is pointless. Meteorological records show that 1998 was the warmest year on record dating back a little more than 100 years

The data for 2007 promoted by the IPCC was shown to have been the subject of a 'Trick' to "hide the decline"

the trick was not used in IPCC report, but in a chart used in Nature, a journal, to deal with the issue of how tree ring data up to 1960s matched other temp data near perfect, but not after that time.

There was a debate over whether to use it at all, but they decided to use the data and then explain the issue in the paper that went along with it.

The IPCC guy says 1998 is the warmest year on record... then says the graph from 1998 - 2006 shows warming, but then ends by saying, "... but 1998 is the warmest year on record..."

What he means is this:

1998 was the strongest period of El Nino, which is the ocean releases alot of heat.

Therefore the temp in 1999 dropped significantly from that. But from 1999 to 2007 the temp continued to warm back up to record higshs. Not yet the highest, but simply a continual rise and the last 3 years (within the period of this debate) were already the hottest 3 years compared to 1997-1999.

The mean amount of CO2 during the Jurassic Period was 1950ppm, 5 times what it is now. The mean temperature was only 3 degrees higher than it is now.

The discovery channel had this to say in an article about the Jurassic period: "Instead of severe heat, most areas now experienced comfortably warm conditions. Evidence of widespread coral reefs also suggests the overall atmosphere was moist and temperate or tropical, providing the perfect backdrop for animal and plant life."

Wow, Bob Carter is really spreading around misconception. If CO2 was the only forcing factor in climate, then it would correlate perfectly with temperature like he seems to expect. There are more factors. Add in the sun. Add in albedo. Add in biological processes. It's more complicated than just CO2. This is basic climatology. Why is Carter still spreading around well-known misconceptions?

Or more relevantly cyclic/decadal patterns that have been going on for millions of years. Finding any relevance in human records is just like looking at a strand of hair and being able to tell what the sort of car the donor owns. The best explanation for global warming (or cooling) is the solar intensity cycles. These solar cycles either increase or decrease the solar wind. This decreases or increases the amount of cosmic ray flux reaching us. These rays cause enhanced amounts of cloud formation. Sorry man, corrected Data released by NASA (not reported by the media OF COURSE!) shows that 1998 takes a back seat to 1934 which was really the warmest year on record. That and 4 other warmest years out of the top ten that are pre World War 2. But why do these guys need data when they have propaganda!!??
