So unconscious a youth was I. Never took hold of what was being sung, instead the meditation was to hold onto the nearest available 'daughter, and drift away in an all but motionless embrace of a dance. You had to move quick though', even the dregs got moped up when this one went down!
Had this on a tape years ago and I'm sure it was nicked at a little house party where I used to select using my tapes on my twin cassette player for my friends. Glad I can now reconnect with it as it's such a beautiful song. It never fails to lift my spirit.
I've been searching for this tune for the longest time. This is Reggae music at its very best. Many thanks for posting this gem. Long live sweet reggae music . . .Ah music we charge fah! Best wishes from the "Clarence Possie" - London, UK
I've been looking for this song for so long. Browningbbw thank you so much, you are the man or woman!! My true love is FUNK but my youth was the LOVERS ROCK. O'h man this tune sweet me. Memories, memories, memories. Thank you and God bless you.
Thanks for posting this. I had the tape stored for years in my loft. Tried to play it the other day to transfer to MP3 and tape disintegrated! Great to hear it again after all this time.
