  • The internet is great, in that it allows filmmakers to get clips & trailers of their films seen, but we need the internet audience to go to the cinema(remember the big screen?), and support us in that way.

This is a very scary time for filmmakers: DVD sales dropping and people accepting laptop cinema as being a motion picture experience.

Imagine yourself as a filmmaker who just spent 6 years making a film for $400K. No imagine trying to make that money back in todays "free" internet market.

  • They haven't said anything that addresses new models of distribution. The internet (you tube) is an obvious way of getting films, shorts, ect to an audience. The ultimate goal is getting films to theaters and no one really talked about that. Also which of the speakers has a film in the theaters, on TV, the internet....too vague and too short a clip.

  • Sweet. I wish I lived in utah. I'll See all you independant film makers there in a few years!

  • Who are some of the filmmakers in this and what have they made?

  • Awesome information for indie filmmakers...
