Everyone i know was as p~ssed off as i was with the ending - what a cop out with so many plots just 'dropped' because the producers tried to be too clever and then realise they couldn't explain certain plots and, as the actor Dominic Monaghan admitted in a UK chat show - they could have finished Lost in one season but they dragged it out to rake more money in and end up with a crap ending and waste of your viewing time!

I think that LOST was the producers depiction of religion. Jacob being God and The man in black being the devil. As Jacob and MiB started off together as brothers and then became enemys signifies the Devil starting as an angel and then leaving heaven. I think that they believe that the Devil is trapped in Gods watch and are waiting for a "Loophole" to try and escape and take over the world and spread evil and this is symbolised by MiB wanting to leaving and wanting to kill off Jacob.

honestly i hated the final episode of lost. Lost has left more questions than answers. many unanswered questions like the smoke monster, why the numbers gave hurley bad luck, why did the numbers made him win the lottery, why were the numbers encrypted on the hatch, why was dharma still sending their food to desmond even after the dharma people were gassed, why the whispers or where they come from, the visions who were they where they came from??????????????????? i hated the final episode

The final episode was also very depressing as we realise everyone in the church was dead, it was a horrible feeling, an ending that didn't fit in with how exciting the show was otherwise. The writers could surely have created something more satisfying and dynamic.
