Anarcho-Syndicalism is built upon a foundation of direct democracy and allowing people to govern their own lives without corporate masters looming over every aspect of their lives.

well confederal socialist is talking about health care so unless you want thousands of people to only hear one side of socialized medicine (the wrong side obviously) then I suggest making a video about the benefits of socialized medicine with the over all message being that "we" should be in charge of whatever is proposed and payed for by the public..

Yeah, his video seems a bit strange to me. In some ways, what he is talking about encompasses a concept bigger than the single issue of healthcare. What's weird is that he seems to be talking about a socialistic redistribution scheme if I understand him correctly. I think this is inadequate in addressing the problem from at least a couple of standpoints. It sounds like he wants to create the conditions for a free market (i.e. a democratic economic system I suppose) but his approach sounds naive.

actually he's arguing for direct democracy...again. without knowing it. he just wants our democracy to be based on the dollar rather then the ideas.

he just doesnt want those people in need to have a vote. he wants them to be beggars. not citizens. and he contradicts himself a couple times.

Mike Gravel proposed a voucher system which would give people choices for their healthcare and allow market competition on the adminstrative costs in such a way to prevent interference of bureaucracy in the provision of medical services. I wish he had covered this is in greater detail in his book, but I think his ideas were based on the work of some economists. I may need to do more research on this to develop these ideas more fully before I talk about it. :P

Anyway, I think his video presents a gross oversimplification of the problem like many of his videos about democracy, though I think I partly understand where he's coming from. (maybe)

I think a big part of this comes to the matter of representation which is often avoided in many of the healthcare debates. There are many realities about manipulation in the healthcare industry that shouldn't be ignored. The market should be a tool to serve people and not the other way around.
