Dave wasn't a good singer at all, and couldnt write lyrics and was very sloppy. when he played. Tom has way better vocals (obviously) and can write lyrics, and actually contributes to the band and doesnt just whine about wanting to play heavier music. sorry im dissing dave, (Sum41 is my fav band btw) but tom is obviously better. he plays theses songs flawlessly and has way better vocals, and his backing vocals are perfect. plus he co wrote screaming bloody murder. as dave didnt write lyrics.

If you went to concerts Deryck would have dave do random solos during the concert to rile up the crowd and Dave had great stage presence with Deryck. They'd bring life and humor to their shows.
