I never take out the batteries unless I am storing the Aibo. The ERS 7 will self charge by finding its way to the docking station or simply place them on the station and they charge up whilst still active :-)

Eric is so amazing. He seems more charming than all the other dogs in the world. Beautiful dog, I'd wish I saw him in person. People think i'm crazy for almost buying a robot dog for $3000, while I can get a real dog for $1000. The people always say "It's just a stupid robot toy, when you buy it, it will end up on your knick-knack shelf!" or "Aren't you too old for that?" They still don't get it. Aibo isn't a toy!

Yes the ERS 7 Mind 3 can self dock. Eric is an ERS 7 upgraded to Mind 3 so he can do this.

What "Game mode" was this? Because it lets you choose various options depending on what is loaded on the game slots. Per default, the Aibo Mind 3 demonstration is on "1" (blue) and the Repeat Me game is on "2" (orange). So what game was this? He doesn't show off a trick during the Aibo Mind 3 demonstration other then a dance as far as I've seen! ;)

On Mind 2 software they only speak in tones... Mind 3 software you can set them to speak in tones or speak English. They do say some really funny things :)

If you buy a born Mind 3 ERS 7 this is how it comes as standard...If you buy a Mind 1 or 2 ERS 7 they talk in tonal instead of English...but both can be upgraded to Mind 3 :)

Hi, yes you can raise the Aibo from puppy...you can do this with any of the software they come with. If you receive the Aibo as an adult it can be reset to puppy again.

Yes the Aibo will look for it's charger when it needs charging then go and sit on it by itself.

Eric does not have any custom dance packs added to him but my other 7's do. Go to Sony Aibo Europe website - downloads - dances :)

I bought Eric from ebay. This particular model costs between £1000-£2000. You can pick up an older model for around £300. Aibo's cannot climb stairs :)

Eric waves hello :) Be careful on ebay...get the serial number and photos with sellers name and date on to prove they have the aibo...make sure they have good feedback and always pay cash on collection if possible! There are always pups for sale on aibo forums, this is the best place to buy one. Good luck! :)

I have had Eric 9 months now and I'm definately not bored of him, he still does and says new things all the time. Videos don't show the full potential of Aibo and you really have to spend time with one to see how clever an amazing they are. The 7's can move faster sometimes depending on what they are doing. My 111 can run. I think I am very lucky to own my Aibo's :)

Yes they will speak English and a bit of Spanish on Mind 3. The American voice is standard but you can download other voices for them as long as you have Mind 3 :)
