this is a cultural event...the family must be well off to be able to make this sacrifice...the closest thing I have seen to this is the killing of chickens for their meat...one either twists the chicken neck and it dies or cuts it off and then the rest of the body can run around a bit until it falls over...the individual who intends to 'flag' is a jerk...one must remember the Spanish Inquisition - they killed ppl who did not agree with them...sick?

This is the practice of the ignorant hindus. Muslims only slaughter it how Allah has taught them to slaughter, which is to cut the jugular vein quickly and completely with a very sharp knife. btw, in Eid festival, muslims only sacrifice camel, cow or a sheep. no chicken.

Just to say, Muslims cut all 4 arteries of the neck i dont no the names but thats it, Otherwise the meat is not permissible if all 4 arteries arent cut before the animal dies.
