An evergreen master piece by Ahmad Rushdi, one of the most versatile & talented singers of south asia, picturized on yet another evergreen actor Nadeem.
Both of them were the "pillars of Lollywood" from the gloden era of 1960s to 1980s.
While Nadeem is still going very strong, diversifying his portfolio into TV, Ahmad Rushdi passed away, leaving behind his memories & wonderful voice.
May God Almighty bless Ahmad Rushdi's soul and grant us the strength to bear this great loss. Aameen.
arman was first platinum jubbilee urdu film of pakistan.asuper hit of that era.this song is also heard for generationns together in sub continent, most tragic song.
This song was sung by Ahmed Rushdi. The confusion comes because the corresponding duet "Kehan ho tum ko" was sung by Nadeem and Mala. As for being in Bengali. The director Ehtesham was from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), so he may have made it bilingual. However the hit movie was in Urdu.
An immortal, everlasting & evergreen song by Ahmad Rushdi the great "all-rounder" singer of yesteryears Lollywood, for the the famous and historic film "Chakoree", in which Nadeem made his maiden appearance.
Those indeed were the golden days of 'B&W' Lollywood era which seems to never come back and were far better than today's digital age.
May God Almighty bless the soul of Ahmad Rushdi in peace and solace and accord Nadeem and his loved ones a long and peaceful life. Aameen, Tsum Aameen.
First of all, I correct to your word"Lollywood",becoz this film Chakori not made in Lahore or Karachi, it is purely made in Dacca, so you can say"Dollywood", and as far as music and films is concern, yes it is everlasting and evergreen, and can't remade in todays advance technology, if made you can't get this result.
In 1967, this movie came out. First movie of Nadeem. He is the artist himself who is singing this song. His name was Nazeer Baig on the Record. I watched this movie with my grand mother - we both loved it. I was 10 then. :)
yeah its sung by ahmed rushdi, but in movie lipsing by nadeem its true.more information, ahmed rushdi these song sung by bengoli too.bengoli lyric was kakhon o tumer poray ki monay.ahmed rushdi was famous in bangladesh on70's.he had a great voice.
Great song and great movie.
