this is kind of a stupid question but are these hair cutters a part of the military? And are the doctors that check you out a part of the military? Just curious because they look like civilians but that one male hair cutter sounded kinda like he was shouting orders

@Nicholassc7k They're civilians but they have to bark at recruits because they're on a time schedule.

Even the civilians who drive the buses from the airport will yell at the trainees if they're not quick enough getting on/getting off or make too much noise.

@OpticCrusher Slight correction...all your uniforms and most equipment are issued for free. They take $200 out of a pay check and put it on an electronic debit card. You use the $200 to pay for hair cuts, personal items (toiletries), dry cleaning your blues, etc...

@ronniepage yea you can bring a pair but your MTI will look at them and see if they are in good condition, if they are he will let u run with them if not he will tell you that you have to wear the pair they give you

@ronniepage You will be issued a pair by them, they are all the same shoe, just different sizes for each person, you will also get issued clothing, boots, and other items. The only thing you can really bring with you is tooth paste, deoderant, soap, or toiletrees.

And these clothes that we bring would you reccomend jeans, bball shorts, wind pants or what?

@playasliveon id pack 2-3 days worth...and pack athletic clothing cuz your gonna need to move with a sense of urgency the whole time your there...i went in with a plain black shirt, a plain white shirt, and my school track t-shirt along with 2 pairs of sweatpants (it was cold at the time) and some running shoes..
