Perhaps the older cats are wording it wrong, while someone who wasn't born when this music came out may not have been around, they could know the song from the radio, tv, or someone who was around at the time. I personally have several personal memories of these songs when they came out, which obviously brings me to another time, but the kids that are hearing it now have memories tied to the song as well, it just may not be as far back as our memories.

Not much in Boston. Hell, Boston doesn't even have a dedicated R&B/Soul station to listen too. Nor Jazz for that matter. You might catch very little of these songs every now and then if you are lucky. And then the more popular ones. Boston sucks when it comes to music believe me.

I was a teen and preteen in the 90's love them used to love R&B the 90's rocked it the best year for R&B ever not a big fan anymore of R&B but the 90's stuff I still listen too cause it was great.

I was young in the 90s but i found that the 90s and early 2000s had sum great out standing music. Today music is about money,drugs,and sex ect. but i have no problem with todays music its listenable but i find the 90s the music RAGING. Oh some of our 90s artist are coming back.

I think most of it has to do with the song writers. They just can't write songs nowadays like they did back then. The songs had so much feeling and meaning, with a great tune.
