We need some presidents that aren't afraid to do the dangerous work he is speaking of, if Americans wants to keep our freedom. We haven't seen a president who operated in the peoples interest, without fear or greed since 1963.

I hate saying it because I sound like a crackpot, but the reason most people don't know about him is because the media doesn't want them to know about him. The media's got stakes in the major parties and their candidates, and won't cover anyone else because no one's interested, so everyone thinks they have to choose the lesser of two evils. A vote for Nader is not a waste. It sends a message that we are fed up with this system of lying to the majority to benefit a minority year after year.

If Obama continues to open up his lead over the next week or two, don't be surprised if the big networks suddenly start throwing Ralph Nader a lot more TV time that he should have been getting since Feb. These networks thrive on the horseraces they've been able to cover on the 2000, 2004 and so far 2008 elections. And if they think bringing in Nader will generate more interest, they will.

This video is a perfect example of why more people don't know about Nader. This is a man who's been in the public eye for 40 years. A national hero for many of those early years; numerous appearances on magazine covers, practically every major news program; talk shows; movie cameos; huge rallies; presidental runs... Most canidates say "we are the riches nation in the world" but we cant be because we are not on the gold standard (just paper out of thin air bills) and 50 trillion dollars in DEBT and an economy based ON DEBT so how on earth is a country unable to pay the debt the richest nation in the world? Health care - Single payer universal health care.

Military - Pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan and replace them with peacekeepers from around the world.

Living Wage - Increase the minimum wage to at least 10 dollars an hour, which is what the minimum wage was in 1968 accounting for inflation.

Public financing of elections - This would eliminate a lot of our problems. Level the playing field. Have debates where more than the two major parties are on.

He has also discussed that, but I only have 500 words in a youtube response, though that is quite a drastic change and there are plenty of other things to be done besides that. Besides public financing there are also outrageous restrictions on an independent or 3rd party candidate from even getting on a ballot. So much effort and resources are required to even get that far and even after that you have to hope that the media will cover you. Eliminating the electoral college is another good start.
