  • I like your harbor freight solder iron. Woot. Neat.

  • People from the UK are dick heads, they think that all Americans are the same, when we are a very diverse country unlike you Brits that have spent to much time on your little island.

  • O my hell u guys bitch a lot. Im just wondering were I can get one.

  • where can u buy just the wire

  • waste of 3 mins that was shit.

  • youtube keeps taking down my pics

  • use freaking wire strippers and heat shrink! other tahn that, pretty cool leds.

  • soLDer!! man whats wrong with you americans first you take the i out of aluminium for no good reason then you butcher the rest of the language, no wonder you need your own special american dictionaries! :-)

  • Best comment ive heard all day! so true i was thinking that when i watched the vid then saw someone nicely took the words out my mouth :) good man!

  • 12 volt LED?

  • there is a resistor too

  • what limits the current?

  • Use a freeking wire striper.

  • perhaps check oxford english dictionary:

also perhaps cultural differences allow slightly different pronounciations of words spelled identically, also let us hope to desire to see alternative ways of seeing a ituation...an any rate the electrtonics going on here is quite delectable and multifariously resplendant with joyous opportune possibilities..i believe we all agree on that point..(chuckle,let us all have fun shall we???)

    enjoyable

  • I believe the word soLDer (correct English pronunciation is with the L and the D) is derived from Latin 'solidare' meaning to fasten together. I guess the L and D got dropped over the Atlantic somewhere?

  • The word is SOLDER , it has an L and a D in it . It should be pronounced SOLDER not Sawder !

  • [sod-er] is proper according to the dictionary.

  • Hi ivanecb, Well its a great video , very good and instructional , but I must say the soLDer proununciation really grinds heads here in UK. Yeh , I admit it's not only you , I think its all Americans. If words are pronounced wrong for long enough and my enough people , eventually they end up in some obscure dictionary. What dictionary might that be ?

  • Go to any dictionary on the web, such as dictionary[dot]com, answers[dot]com, etc. and search for solder.

  • @GrandadSue I agrea it also anoys us here is South africa

  • @ivanecb

Maybe sodder is for one who sodders someone else ? Don't go round the back please ... im'e a man !

  • @ivanecb you are right it is pronounced sod-er because that is what it does say in a dictionary and no i did not look it up because i know that it is pronounced that way now all of you stupid people out there that is to lazy to know something like that then you guys need to go back to school.

  • @ivanecb sorry that all the dictionaries on the web are made by americans with the wrong pronounciation :(
