What a stupid way to die, I loved Larry's bikes and thought Larry was one of the nicest bike builders out there and was a genius, but I hated that he died so senselessly, every time he did that I used to cringe, and it was so weird when I heard he got killed cause I had seen him do that twice before.
@ridinhonda4life He did live a dream, but his death really affected me because I picked up bike riding again after years of layoff cause of Biker Build Off and Larry was an inspiration. We are the same age, and I felt like I knew him and his death really hurt me in a way that is strange for me because that doesn't ever happen to me unless it's a close member of my family or close friend. So that's Larry's charisma, what a loss for us all.
@PRE1959 this actualy made me want to make a tribute bike out of an old occ bike a found in the woods it dosent look pretty at the minute but i have big plans for it. 125cc pit bike engine on it with a jack shaft to the original chain its gonna be sweet. also new "ape hangers" on the front but they r from a suzuki atv looks pretty good on it

I saw Larry more than thirty plus years ago at a Bike Show in Asbury Park, NJ., Convention Hall. I, like everyone else who saw and heard about his death that Sunday was in disbelief!!. I guess God needed a "Bike Builder", He took the BEST!!. R.I.P. Indian Larry.
My mom was there the day he died, she came home and asked me to sit down and told me the news and at frist i couldnt believe it and once it sunck in i started to cry. He was my Fav builder.

I would have liked to have met him. He seemed as real as the air. He had a chance once to take the build off the win from what's his name... Billy Lane when Lane's bike wouldn't start. He said he didn't want to win that way. He helped Lane and ended up losing.

@skillz4noobz1 i have a modified wideglide converted to caff racer and pushing over 200h.p. that i race on the track against rockets all day! rockets are fast cause there lite weight but not drag material without same amount of work as a harley! them frames couldn't hold the torq of a harley race motor without mods! you build a bike for your liking and ride it! both have there ups and downs but a harley will always hold value and be respected as those rice bikes will always be a dime a dozen!

Yes it's a shame he wasn't wearing a helmet, but he was a biker and bikers like him get more out of life by living on the edge. That's just how it is.
I would have liked to have met him. He seemed as real as the air. He had a chance once to take the build off the win from what's his name... Billy Lane when Lane's bike wouldn't start. He said he didn't want to win that way. He helped Lane and ended up losing.
