Hi Stephanie! I am also a KAD and appeared on the show exactly a week after you. Have you heard anything yet? I just got an email from Sue last week saying that they received several calls and one potential relative is a birth father. I sent my hair samples in for DNA last week. I'm much older than you and really didn't have any information at all, and I've never been to Korea either, so I have been trying not to get my hopes up. But, it is exciting! (cont'd.)

I wish you all the best. I recently found my bf's birthmother for him in Korea. It only took me 6 months and it really helps if you can speak Korean fluently. I have family in Andong as well. Let me know if you need any help.

thank you! it's wonderful that you were able to locate your bf's birthmother. i hope that their reunion was happy for all involved. i guess if any of your family members have heard my birth parents name before, please let me know... or maybe have seen someone who vaguely resembles me ^.^

I was planning to speak to my cousin this weekend since they had their first earthquake ever few weeks back. I will definitely ask her if she heard of their names. It is not a huge city and my cousin was born and raised in Andong. I really hope she can help. Let me know if you have any more information on them.

thanks so much. as i said on the show, my birth mother's name is kwon tae yeong. my birth father, who passed away in 2004, was named shin hyeon deok. they were from kyongsanbuk-do, and my birth mother is last known to still be living in that province. she has at least two daughters and i believe she is buddhist.

ohhh okay...it works really well...for some reason my webcam and mic weren't working well with SKYPE...but on MSN it works fine?...haha...yes my episode is...they had to cut short because bad quality of my cam and mic...they were supposed to call me with phone, but it didn't send through?...but yeah, my episode is on my youtube page...the featured video ^^
