It's people like Paul Jay that will bring about real change. People like Paul Jay are people like you and me; the American People. We are approaching a time where it doesn't matter about our race, religion, or political alignment, we are all pretty pissed off and are realizing we don't need government and the mainstream to conduct us anymore. WE will be the ones who will run the world. WE are the Illuminati, and WE will change everything. Excellent video.
What I see is everyone trying to make excuses for letting the American people down bush umm what weapons of mass destruction umm the press We Marched down the wrong road but will start reporting real news' Sing me to sleep and will wake up in another nightmare you create! people Even the demons and bad angels no judgment is coming' So hurry and cover your tracks now Alanah yew a the almighty lord gods son will forgive you. No, try to disprove Technocracy like a real scientist. You might very well find out that the price system IS the problem, and that politricks can't help us. Look up Technocracyinc(dot)org or Technocracyvan(dot)ca. A Technate is the best chance for you.
Technocracy is certainly a much better society than what we have today, but Jacque Fresco has a slightly different spin on the idea which is much more palatable for people.
"The minority, the ruling class at present, has the schools and press, usually the Church as well, under its thumb. This enables it to organize and sway the emotions of the masses, and make its tool of them."

well im sorry, the news core itself is brilliant certainly, but to run this whole thing entirely without marketing is just pointless, and i think trnn overestimates youtube, so far yt as the free open democratic medium is failing, just look at what worthless crap is "most viewed" and promoted every day
also in your concept was more viewer participation, international networking, debates aso., i dont see any of that yet
so far trnn only gives the viewer the basic news material, unfortunatly thats not what attracts a big viewership, you need the more spicy things like debates, satire aso., also you could quick-cut the videos like many vloggers do (or offer a version) - not cutting out content but the gaps in between, you wont get around accommodating the shorter attention span of active internet users in some way
trnn site doesnt have an open forum, no comment section for the videos aso.
also since you are on youtube - tyt is a quite successful liberal format on yt, they have daily hits in the thousands with a much less elaborate program, reach out, get an interview as promotion
its such a great project and really in the right spirit but no corporate sponsters mustnt mean no promotion and marketing
I disagree. Maybe some people like the "spicy things" in their daily news, but I'm not one of those. I prefer TRNN's style. They use a lot less bravado and hype. I find it more informative than the gaudy heavily opinionated "news" reporting found in many mainstream media outlets.
Also, I don't feel that anyone has to accommodate "short attention spans." I use the internet frequently and I regularly watch YouTube videos and yet I still prefer to visit TRNN as opposed to other news websites.
Fox News aims and continues to produce content for a 'broader viewership'. How has this increased the efficacy of The People to determine what is going on in their world? How has dumbing down the media to soundbites, five minute spots and opinion clips done good in increasing our understanding of the nation, or global occurrences? Hearing 'more' does not mean you understand it. The lack of time devoted to such a complex subject as reasons for terrorism alone by MSM is enough to give pause.
get off this channel, "to run this whole thing entirely without marketing is just pointless" you are either taking a serious piss, or you are some kind of troll.
~John Stuart Mills "a liberal media is the central nervous system of a functioning democracy."
We don't need one Real News. We need all or many Real News. Mass Media dominated will eventually develop into controlling information. We trust ourselves by questioning ourselves and asking questions for other people. It is our instinct to ask questions when we are free and we hate each other ourselves. If we want to live like human ourselves, we have to let other people live like human equally.
The fact that the Federal Reserve and the IRS are not Govt. agencies only recently (within the past 20 or so years) came to light via court challenges.
One can ply the limited hangout all day...but the history is what it is.
at around 33 mins he states that the govt should control capitalism...
WHAT A COMPLETE FAIL... screw Real News if they think that beauracrats in Washington with their lobbyists should restrict the free market which benefits the poor and middle class.
did you listen to the piece? He said it is better to have a more rational intervention by government than an out of control capitalism. But he says government controlled capitalism will not give real change for people.
Capitalism isn't what destroys the middle class and creates gaps between rich and poor. It is the Federal Reserve. They steal the value of the dollar in your pocket by inflating the money supply and credit then they give this money to the banks and large coorporations that then loan it to us with interest. This process destroys the middle class and poor by putting them into massive debt and the practice of the federal reserve causes prices to increase hurting the poor the most.
But Capitalism, lives because of the bubbles, if they do not create one bubble to make money, they do not grow themselves. Capitalism is avaricious, they must make, and make money whitout ending, no matter if the rest of the people die on their way, they must get as much money as they can. They will never be down, becuase they manage all the finances and the economy of the countries, and if one bubble explote, they start another one and so on.....
Money *is* the very problem. I encourage you people to get familiar with Technocracy, Inc. which defines Technocracy' as it stands written at technocracyvan(dot)ca. They do NOT define Technocracy as rule by experts, which is a bad translation from Greek.
"In the Technate, no group will wield political or economic power over the citizens. Everyone will have economic security, a high standard of living, more leisure and greater measure of personal freedom than has ever been provided by any society previously."
Capitalism, at least in its practice, has always encourage the stronger/more financially affluent to take advantage of the less so. Inherent in corporation legislation is that such bodies are required to hold the shareholders and profit motive above all opportunities (though respecting laws). In practice, esp. w/big corporations, profit motive overcomes all, even at detriment to all humanity, privation of children, destruction of ecosystems both local and worldwide.
Your argument that the Federal Reserve is what destroys the middle class takes the blame, at least in how I am seeing you portray your argument, off the backs of rich and place it only onto a select group of politicians. While politicians enable to pillaging of the national treasury, budget, and resources, they must share some blame with the top companies. The Fed Reserve doesn't ship millions of jobs overseas b/c the hourly cent rate of a worker in Indonesia is cheaper than China; companies do.
Michael Hudson explains, there is really NO SUCH THING as 'free market capitalism'. Capitalism may be regulated democratically, as it was by States in early America. Licenced corps could be disbanded for charter violations or negative affects to 'public good' and owners jailed. JUDICIAL ACTIVISM and lawyer/lobbyists beat states.
Otherwise controlled by Bankers. Right now, Govt itself is controlled by Bankers. Sounds paranoid but read list of Goldman-Sachs and others in Govt, and G-20.
As an American, I really appreciate other sources of news that are not normally connected to "mainstream" media. I think it's refreshing and informative. I'm a member of TRNN and I really like their style. They don't use drama or bravado in their reporting. Plus, I really appreciate that they use facts to report news as opposed to opinionated politically-charged speculations. Paul Jay is, in my opinion, the epitome of a true journalist. Good on you Paul! I'm really glad this video is up!
Just checked Jay's channel. No current event is placed in historic context...that of Global Inquisition and Counter Reformation, and he floats all of the Vatican's most errant and virulent meme's.
Note he does not state that the Vatican Banking Cartels (World-wide Central Banks) are the causality for crisis.
Global Warming as merely the cover for the historically high Schuman Resonance.
So much more fiction than reality to his...and most others 'news' networks.
And was the Vatican also responsible for 9/11 and Katrina? I'm quite happy TRNN does not fall for paranoid theory. But even if you are right, and the Vatican had to "divest" itself of "control of central banks" . . . what would it change? Ownership of all major sectors of the economy would remain the same. That's the issue. You don't need a secret book to understand it . . . it's right in front of your nose!
"The Federal Reserve is an independent agency, and there is no other agency of government which can overrule actions that we take."
- Alan Greenspan
FedRes is pretty much a private bank. It's said to answer to govt, but you see Fed officials evading questions. FedRes serves commercial banks, not 'America'. In 2009, Geithner (former Fed chair) allowed private investment banks to retroactively become commercial Fed banks.
Im almost through with this video, And I have to say I'm impressed. By this mans own ideas of policy, he MUST know that hes likely risking his life, or career at the least. Ive been to thier site. Seems legit, and morally sound. Its says they have a deal with TiVo. Thats huge. Hopefully this plan of unbiased, no strings news comes to fruition as hes says. I commend this man / companys courage in such a time of corruption and power struggles. This guys speech made my day.
you should watch a lot of their back catalogue - I have been following them a while now and they are the best (The Young Turks are also good, they just say it like they see it).
On TRNN though, anything by Pepe Escobar is awesome - his insights are second to none. Paul Jay is also top drawer - pulls no punches and asks the hard questions
the idea of biased and unbiased news is bullshit in the first place.
Before professnl media corps invented idea of 'objective reporting', which means per the corporate-military-govt establshmt, everyone knew that ALL news was biased to the views of the writer, group. It was ALL somewhat forms of polemics.
Only question should be accurate reporting incl dissenting views. Should acknw their bias, ideological or partisan or other. One trick is to give two viewpoints, call that balance.
But the world isnt made up of 2 viewpoints, its made up of MANY viewpoints. Giving an artificial 2 viewpoints on everything (either with terrorists or with us) is another way to manipulate.
I guess ultimately all news is biased, maybe. But the corporate media is biased for the OVERWHELMING MINORITY OF THE ELITE.
A news that is biased towards the improvement of the bottom 95% is not a bad goal in my opinion.
Bias?? Fair enough - but as Colbert says - Reality is a well known liberal bias - and since they comment on reality then sure, they have a liberal bias. Most rational people do.
I mean come on - people like Bachmann, Palin or Beck how can they not rip the piss out of these people
That they point out the hypocrisy in the right may lead some to believe they have a liberal bias
Personally, I don't give a fuck if they do as they are honest about what they think & believe0 that is refreshing
Holy bat shit...This is some refreshing *news. A middle aged suit wearing man, acknowledging an obvious, and sickening problem....KUDOS to this shit. To reiterate some comments below however, most of us smart folks get our news online now. Yet, still not an easy task to climb through all the clouded *theory to get to TRUTH. In any case, someday soon we must realize the interweb will someday be heavily censored, and or / abolished for everyone but bussiness. Compliments of Johnny Government.
Actually, he's a duel citizen. USA and Canada. Mother from Chicago, father from Montreal. I don't think he would think of himself as a hero, just a hard working journalist.
Obama is representing the political reality in this country. Up to this day, throughout the history, war, various means of domination, and intimidation are the tools of the trade in gaining influence. I'm sorry, but it's a fact of life.
By asserting that nether, Brits, Russians, Truman, Kennedy, Obama, were/are righteous enough the speaker enters the would of demagoguery.
Who can meet that high standard? Pre Russian invasion Afganistan? I doubt that.
I like the Real News Channel, but this speech avoided the real issues by blaming the "media" of everything. In fact, the real, well defined opposing interests are battling for power and influence. The commercial media just providing their services to a higher bidder. Adam Curtis covers these dynamics in his film The Power of Nightmare pretty well. It's available on YouTube.
Absolutely brilliant, left-wing and proud of it, progressive and unapologetic, actually looking for solutions rather than going on and on about doom and gloom. Paul Jay has balls and the left needs more people like him.
Wow this was a really good clip, makes me glad I sent in my 75$ donation. It's funny he has more of an accent here. Is it cuz it's a year old or is it cuz he was in Estonia?
i enjoy PJ and the real news.. however when he still believes that planes hit the towers and that it would be better if bin laden was caught i wonder about how much time he has invested into checking out this fairy tale of the 'official story'.. i would love to hear a current talk on obie, his presidency, and US foreign policies. no doubt he has changed his mind and has become as disillusioned as many people that obie is just another puppet of big money..
So basically @ around 15:30 to 16:00 he is saying it would be like another country coming into the US and arming the Amish in order for them to impose thier views on us and take over the country. Sounds like a Neo-con wet dream really.
I have been watching this "Real News" for a while. I have only seen them report on their views. No others. They go out with suppositions and lead their reporting through those lenses.
Go get sponsers who agree with your views since you don't report all sides, your not fact finders, your opinion finders.
I have not seen this "indepenance" but your point of view.
How would it be possible to report from 'all the sides'?
Personally I am sick of seeing main stream media journalists act like they are completely ignorant of the history of a situation when they report on the facts. In my eyes that is the price you pay when you commit yourself to 'being neutral'. Part of letting the viewer make up his/her own mind is showing the context in which facts occur.
Even if it is just "their point of view" (which, to me, does sound like being independent), it is OH SO refreshing comparing to the mainstream mono-voice
Google SILENT WEAPONS FOR QUIET WARS, which is a TOP SECRET document dated May 1979 and appears in the 1991 book BEHOLD A PALE HORSE by WILLIAM COOPER, the murdered Patriot. This document contains the doctrine adopted by the Policy Committee for the BILDERBERG GROUP and is a Self Admitted continuation of the Third World War by the Elites against the Public. It speaks openly of Slavery and Genocide as part of their Objectives and the Ruthless Methodology they use to further their agenda.
Paul Jay has his heart in the right place but he lost me at 9/11.
"What Al Qaeda did", Obama as better then finally "the bomb on Japan".
9/11 was an inside job, Obama is just as bad as Bush (and I hated Bush) and "the" bomb on Japan was in fact 2 bombs.
Sentiment isn't enough. Paul Jay is a soft shoeing here and it disgust me. If you're going to sacrifice your formally magnificent career, don't stop at the hard questions.
Things are f*cked and there's no more time for playing patty cake.
He never said that 9/11 was an inside job. If you're going to be critical of others, then at least try to understand what they are trying to communicate. Maybe it's not fashionable within certain circles to look into matters that have the stench of conspiracy theory about them, but real journalists are free of those dogmas.
I'm sure that he, as he said in the beginning, believes in facts and that a person can never know all the facts.
You raised some valid points though. He seems a bit sloppy..
Thanks Shlarl, I haven't seen that one. (I imagine you mean Howard Zinn.) I'll look for it.
My problem is that at least here, he has contented himself with the state sponsored rhetoric of Al Qaeda when on even the most cursory of examinations those claims don't hold up.
Oh, I assumed that you had a problem with the term 'al-qaeda', because it doesn't really exist in the way most people think it does...
Regarding 9/11 I haven't seen any evidence which proves that islamist fundamentalists didn't perpetrate the attacks. The idea that the official account of the events doesn't completely hold up doesn't absolutely prove any specific theory either. Therefore caution is important when talking about these things... So I guess I perhaps still don't agree with you.
Wadadde's got it. The 9/11 truth movement needs to swtich gears from trying to sell an alternative story, to questioning the official story. Jay also brought up a really good point on the story about the LBJ tapes, in which he interviewed Robert Parry. The tapes showed that Nixon secretly went to the South Vietnamese government and scuttled the peace talks in 1968 so that he could win the election, thereby prolonging the war another 7 years or so, and causing millions more deaths, not 3,000
...Jay suggested that if an individual (Nixon) was willing to do something that destructive for personal gain, shouldn't that make us take seriously the possibility that 9/11 involved at the very least willful negligence, if not complicity or leadership from people in power in the US. Parry reacted in horror and immediately turned it down, but I thought this was one of the more interesting applications of 9/11 I have seen yet. I don't always agree with Jay, but he's not an establishment shill.
i ant donating to this propaganda shit. fraud its probably funded by the rockafellas or rothschild. you never talk about ron paul or the bill to audit the federal reserve. most crucial bill to ever be forwarded to the us congress.
32:00 Obama's backers don't want a more vibrant domestic economy. They're globalists who wish to replace a domestic economy with a world economy. How can he discuss all of these people & mention precious little about the Fed or CFR?
Politicians have no policy. They all take their marching orders from bankers, corporations, Israel, globalists.
How can he discuss 9/11 w/o discussing 'A Clean Break' & Douglas Feith's Office of Special Plans?
You should probably watch their videos before commenting, they have mentioned the bill in their last two videos on the Fed and the large support it has.
yeah well im subscribed check my videos regularly. i ant seen shit. possibly they give it almost zero attention. hell i have never seen Ron Paul on one of there clips. plus they quote from criminal liars like george soros. they think obama is a good guy when he is just a puppet for the lobbyist. stripping our rights and freedoms. spending on murderous wars
Where the hell did you get the idea that TRNN are Obama supporters, I challenge you to point to one report of theres which blindly supports Obama. And I would also challenge you to find where they align themselves with Soros, don't be a contrarian for the sake of it. Paul quotes Soros to help people understand the inter-elite contradictions that exist, and you can't deny they are there. The elite may share many common interests, but they are consistently at war, and that has effects on us.
if this is real news why dont you ever have Ron Paul on. its all propaganda thats why. mentioning george soros doesnt help he is a billonaire criminal and stands to gain from this fiat money empire.
George Soros-Hungarian(magyar) SCUM! The same one who sold out fellow Jews to the Nazi goons and stole the gold and jewellery to enrich himself! Bosmack Foss!
I agree with a lot of what he says apart from the George Sorros bit. Sorros has brought down countries economies. He has inside information on stock markets so he can make money and bring them down. Governments remove regulations which bring down the free market and then blame the free market. This creates a good excuse for state intervention like the bailout and blame capitalism even though it was the state that caused it. The solution is small state but we just have to let this all play out.
if it is so, please invite professor BERND SENF from berlin, germany. he can explain to you how our monetary system works like no other, and can give you solution. he thinks that our present moentary system creates all our problems and has to be changed.
please look for "Tiefere Ursachen der Wirtschaftskrise "
Thanks for that Prosvjeta. I haven't found any of his work in English yet but I saw a diagram depicting the exponential function, so certainly a good start. :)
It does seems that there are at least some articles about his work in English so I'll see what I can find there.
Thanks again. It's always nice to find people preaching the truth. (Even if it is in another language.)
i am so glad for your comment. i think the internet is to be used for us (we who have bigger interest costs then interest earnings) to spread information among us.
since we have this venetian monetary system one thing hasn't change. that's when the time of the depression comes the oligarchy is always dividing the poor people in enemy groups to start wars that'll accelerate the process of depression, so the depression comes faster to its end. then starts the same new game for a second 50 years.
Great idea for a news network...but in my opinion the guy's got it wrong on the economics..a more rational (regulated) free market...is not a free market...
Well done Paul - you are a truly great man to achieve what you have already. I tell all I can to watch the real news. The search for truth is a wonderful thing. I will pop a little donation by paypal
What Jay calls the elite may only be the upper minions. No proof either way. One thing is for sure the Dems and the Repubs are controlled (paid off or compromised) in such a way that our country heads toward global governance. Governed by whom?
This must have been taped about 10 months ago. I hope now Jay knows that Obama is a phony front man and I still hold out hope that he'll realize that 911 was most definitely an inside job. The time it took building 7 to fall equals free fall rate. you can not have free fall rate AND crush thousands of tons of concrete and steel therefore ,"the collapse" had help = inside job--Sorry.
You're right, this speech was given, very early in the year, the way that he talked about how Hillary Clinton might do her job suggests that she hasn't started it.
Free markets are a good idea if you have a free media an intelligent population and transparency in the markets. Then everyone will win. What you have now in the US is 1% of the population making all the money and the rest 99% end up owing that money.
the free market doesn't exist as long you have a state. last time humanity had free market was in the stone age.
i'm suggesting to you not to waste you energy in left-right paradigm, like socialist vs. libertarian, cos they're both meaningless, they won't change the fact that depressions will have to occur every 40 years.
it's not about free market or about the strong state; IT'S ABOUT OUR MONETARY SYSTEM.
study the nature of our money and all issues of our world will be explained to you.
ive already looked at it. hell my head is satyrated with it and yes you're 100% right about monetary its the number one issue. we need our money back. from the government and banker control.
but like i've said the left-right paradigm will hold us back like it has been holding us back since the end of the WW2. cos if you're inside of it you only hear keynesianst debating monetarists, but nobody rises the question what is money, what is debt and if it grows exponentially what does that mean to the real world, to whom do we owe money, what are the interests, what do they do, what means if you have bigger interests costs then interests earnings...
You're exactly right, I've reached the same conclusion. Most of our troubles stem from our monetary policy. With sound money and a government that protects property rights, most of our problems today would start to correct themselves.
...Please clarify. Is what you are saying something analogous to: we could have a feudalistic culture, but that if we got our monetary policy right that we'd be okay? What does 'sound money' mean to you? I am curious, given I've heard so many peoples' ideas about it.
Sound money is money that is not inflated by govt policy. Inflation is a government policy. If I have a $1000 today and I put it away, out of sight for 20, 30, 40 years and pull it out, I would be able to purchase just as much then as I do now. People have not been encouraged to save for the last 25 years because the rate of inflation was so great that their money was worth less over time collecting 3 to 4% interest. I make more today than 20 yrs ago but my standard of living is the same.
Ah, okay. Thank you very much for clarifying your point and taking time out to educate me. I definitely agree then on the points you made, though I would say that there are many other things we could do to make things better. For instance, reforming policies around how corporations and company entities function, such as their obligation to their community/state/country in addition to that of shareholders.
Seriously, do you really expect that we can work with a government or a corporate america that have removed failure as an option for the largest players in the con game. The SEC who's job it is to prevent this system wide collapse or at the very least warn us that it's coming, they couldn't even do that. REFORM, haven't we done enough already? We haven't had sound $ in almost 100 yrs since the Federal Reserve came into existence, let's give that a try first.
he means we are going back to the dark ages. in afganistan he explains its use to have a functioning democracy with schools and drs and built up cities but now the place is destroyed into a scene reembling medievil times. its become more barbaric over there with murders and gang rapes, poverty. slowly its stripping the world of it GDP as well you need massive spending to fund wars and it robbs our economies of our wealth too. we are sliding into povety too.
i have to agree that it is like that now and it was not but thanks to the united states that it got to that point we need to start to looking outside the cave...
You are absolutely right. I have been following Real News for a year and they've mentioned him once or twice. Why don't they report on the progress of HR1207 which could be the most important issue in the US and internationally?
Also I have asked journalists in my country about that and they don't have a clue about it. So they say.
Jesse Freeston has mentioned HR1207 in both his latest videos on Real News. And they have mentioned Ron Paul many times...the truth is that the Ron Paul movement has largely died because it only organized around elections. And the racism of many of their members, espoused in their views on immigration, negated the traction they could have with the broader public. Oh, and the obsession with the gold standard, another piece of madness, we had the gold standard, remember, and shit wasn´t peachy.
obama as you know is an opportunist a very clever one but his flaw is his big ego. He is the ships monkey who has been given control of the titanic. I don't mean monkey in any racial sense.
Its sad but some how ,as people realize he is a wall street conman. That can only help society rid ourselves of the insidious evil that parades world government.
Funny how people with entirely different backgrounds can come to the same kind of views, conclusions regarding the world. Thanks for this video, I enjoyed it very much. I truly hope the Real News will succeed and be that network come 2020.
Do I continue living life normally....Do I believe my own rhetoric or not? If I'm not doing the thing I think is the most significant with my life then my life isn't meaningful.
Oh! Is there any link to the rational discussion on "why 9/11 happened" it would be nice to take a look at what was said then and to see if it is still relevant???
News can never be truly out of political influences. But I must admit that Real News is making a real good job in reporting FACTS, what is commonly lacking among the other news channels. Keep it up!!!
the MSM are prostitutes and afraid to tell the real truth. they should all be shut down for spreading government propaganda and lying to the people.. bastards.
if i was rich i would donate 1 million to this important and truly unbiased news source

Bear5177 2 years ago 5
yeah for core viewers like you and me thats fine, but as a news outlet you should aim for a broader viewership
random0815 2 years ago
Fox News aims and continues to produce content for a 'broader viewership'. How has this increased the efficacy of The People to determine what is going on in their world? How has dumbing down the media to soundbites, five minute spots and opinion clips done good in increasing our understanding of the nation, or global occurrences? Hearing 'more' does not mean you understand it. The lack of time devoted to such a complex subject as reasons for terrorism alone by MSM is enough to give pause.

did you listen to the piece? He said it is better to have a more rational intervention by government than an out of control capitalism. But he says government controlled capitalism will not give real change for people.
2020peter 2 years ago
I think it is very very clear that the 'free market' is not helping poor and middle class. The rich are getting richer though.
MrClawson9 2 years ago 4
Capitalism isn't what destroys the middle class and creates gaps between rich and poor. It is the Federal Reserve. They steal the value of the dollar in your pocket by inflating the money supply and credit then they give this money to the banks and large coorporations that then loan it to us with interest. This process destroys the middle class and poor by putting them into massive debt and the practice of the federal reserve causes prices to increase hurting the poor the most.
Desnoxvu 2 years ago
But Capitalism, lives because of the bubbles, if they do not create one bubble to make money, they do not grow themselves. Capitalism is avaricious, they must make, and make money whitout ending, no matter if the rest of the people die on their way, they must get as much money as they can. They will never be down, becuase they manage all the finances and the economy of the countries, and if one bubble explote, they start another one and so on.....
latinobolivariano 2 years ago

SarenthDricten 2 years ago
Your argument that the Federal Reserve is what destroys the middle class takes the blame, at least in how I am seeing you portray your argument, off the backs of rich and place it only onto a select group of politicians. While politicians enable to pillaging of the national treasury, budget, and resources, they must share some blame with the top companies. The Fed Reserve doesn't ship millions of jobs overseas b/c the hourly cent rate of a worker in Indonesia is cheaper than China; companies do.
SarenthDricten 2 years ago

Bear5177 2 years ago 2
Just checked Jay's channel. No current event is placed in historic context...that of Global Inquisition and Counter Reformation, and he floats all of the Vatican's most errant and virulent meme's.
Note he does not state that the Vatican Banking Cartels (World-wide Central Banks) are the causality for crisis.
Global Warming as merely the cover for the historically high Schuman Resonance.
So much more fiction than reality to his...and most others 'news' networks.
abbesieyes 2 years ago
And was the Vatican also responsible for 9/11 and Katrina? I'm quite happy TRNN does not fall for paranoid theory. But even if you are right, and the Vatican had to "divest" itself of "control of central banks" . . . what would it change? Ownership of all major sectors of the economy would remain the same. That's the issue. You don't need a secret book to understand it . . . it's right in front of your nose!

FedRes is pretty much a private bank. It's said to answer to govt, but you see Fed officials evading questions. FedRes serves commercial banks, not 'America'. In 2009, Geithner (former Fed chair) allowed private investment banks to retroactively become commercial Fed banks.

the idea of biased and unbiased news is bullshit in the first place.
One trick is to give two viewpoints, call that balance.
dilbertgeg 2 years ago
But the world isnt made up of 2 viewpoints, its made up of MANY viewpoints. Giving an artificial 2 viewpoints on everything (either with terrorists or with us) is another way to manipulate.
I guess ultimately all news is biased, maybe. But the corporate media is biased for the OVERWHELMING MINORITY OF THE ELITE.
A news that is biased towards the improvement of the bottom 95% is not a bad goal in my opinion.

In fact, the real, well defined opposing interests are battling for power and influence. jenisoutofhermind 2 years ago

LeedansParis 2 years ago 4
He never said that 9/11 was an inside job. If you're going to be critical of others, then at least try to understand what they are trying to communicate. Maybe it's not fashionable within certain circles to look into matters that have the stench of conspiracy theory about them, but real journalists are free of those dogmas.
I'm sure that he, as he said in the beginning, believes in facts and that a person can never know all the facts.
You raised some valid points though. He seems a bit sloppy..
wadadde 2 years ago
During an interview with the historian (Zim i think?), he did ask him about the theories of an inside job (which Zim rejected).
Maybe PJ never positioned himself on the issue, but he did explore other options (at least on one occasion)
shlarl 2 years ago
Thanks Shlarl, I haven't seen that one. (I imagine you mean Howard Zinn.) I'll look for it.
My problem is that at least here, he has contented himself with the state sponsored rhetoric of Al Qaeda when on even the most cursory of examinations those claims don't hold up.
LeedansParis 2 years ago
Wadadde, the quotation marks are what he said. I am the one saying that 9/11 was an inside job and that he is soft shoeing around it.
LeedansParis 2 years ago
Oh, I assumed that you had a problem with the term 'al-qaeda', because it doesn't really exist in the way most people think it does...
Regarding 9/11 I haven't seen any evidence which proves that islamist fundamentalists didn't perpetrate the attacks. The idea that the official account of the events doesn't completely hold up doesn't absolutely prove any specific theory either. Therefore caution is important when talking about these things... So I guess I perhaps still don't agree with you.
wadadde 2 years ago
Wadadde's got it. The 9/11 truth movement needs to swtich gears from trying to sell an alternative story, to questioning the official story. Jay also brought up a really good point on the story about the LBJ tapes, in which he interviewed Robert Parry. The tapes showed that Nixon secretly went to the South Vietnamese government and scuttled the peace talks in 1968 so that he could win the election, thereby prolonging the war another 7 years or so, and causing millions more deaths, not 3,000
theresponderful 2 years ago
...Jay suggested that if an individual (Nixon) was willing to do something that destructive for personal gain, shouldn't that make us take seriously the possibility that 9/11 involved at the very least willful negligence, if not complicity or leadership from people in power in the US. Parry reacted in horror and immediately turned it down, but I thought this was one of the more interesting applications of 9/11 I have seen yet. I don't always agree with Jay, but he's not an establishment shill.

The solution is small state but we just have to let this all play out.

since we have this venetian monetary system one thing hasn't change. that's when the time of the depression comes the oligarchy is always dividing the poor people in enemy groups to start wars that'll accelerate the process of depression, so the depression comes faster to its end. then starts the same new game for a second 50 years.

the free market doesn't exist as long you have a state. last time humanity had free market was in the stone age.

but like i've said the left-right paradigm will hold us back like it has been holding us back since the end of the WW2. cos if you're inside of it you only hear keynesianst debating monetarists, but nobody rises the question what is money, what is debt and if it grows exponentially what does that mean to the real world, to whom do we owe money, what are the interests, what do they do, what means if you have bigger interests costs then interests earnings...
prosvjeta 2 years ago
You're exactly right, I've reached the same conclusion. Most of our troubles stem from our monetary policy. With sound money and a government that protects property rights, most of our problems today would start to correct themselves.
rayme4raw 2 years ago 2
...Please clarify. Is what you are saying something analogous to: we could have a feudalistic culture, but that if we got our monetary policy right that we'd be okay? What does 'sound money' mean to you? I am curious, given I've heard so many peoples' ideas about it.
SarenthDricten 2 years ago

We haven't had sound $ in almost 100 yrs since the Federal Reserve came into existence, let's give that a try first.

he means we are going back to the dark ages. in afganistan he explains its use to have a functioning democracy with schools and drs and built up cities but now the place is destroyed into a scene reembling medievil times. its become more barbaric over there with murders and gang rapes, poverty. slowly its stripping the world of it GDP as well you need massive spending to fund wars and it robbs our economies of our wealth too. we are sliding into povety too.

if this is real news why dont you ever have Ron Paul on. its all propaganda thats why.
spanishaustralian 2 years ago
You are absolutely right. I have been following Real News for a year and they've mentioned him once or twice. Why don't they report on the progress of HR1207 which could be the most important issue in the US and internationally?
Also I have asked journalists in my country about that and they don't have a clue about it. So they say.
efectomariposa93 2 years ago
finally someone making sense, cheers to you.
spanishaustralian 2 years ago
Jesse Freeston has mentioned HR1207 in both his latest videos on Real News. And they have mentioned Ron Paul many times...the truth is that the Ron Paul movement has largely died because it only organized around elections. And the racism of many of their members, espoused in their views on immigration, negated the traction they could have with the broader public. Oh, and the obsession with the gold standard, another piece of madness, we had the gold standard, remember, and shit wasn´t peachy.

check out TRNN channel and do a search for Ron Paul and Federal Reserve . . .

obama as you know is an opportunist a very clever one but his flaw is his big ego. He is the ships monkey who has been given control of the titanic. I don't mean monkey in any racial sense.
Its sad but some how ,as people realize he is a wall street conman. That can only help society rid ourselves of the insidious evil that parades world government.

Interesting talk. The MSM truly does suck some serious balls so it's nice to have Real News offer a more rational perspective on issues.

if you could do more reporting on 38:35 i would donate $1000 and i would get anohter 20 people to donate the same amount...
sircesare 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
if they get Ron Paul on regularly ill start donating regually. otherwise this is all bullshit like all the others.

"So I had to decide: 'do I believe my own rethoric? or not?' So I decided, life is short, and I guess the fundamental decision for me was that
if I'm not doing the thing that I think is most meaningful, then I'm not happy.
... if I'm not doing the thing I think is the most significant with my life, then I find I feel emty inside."
Powerful words. They remind me how meaningless ordinary jobs under capitalism are.
