I have a male dog who has the exact coat and Is a dashchund. He is not miniture though. He got spayed but before he was he had 2 sons and 2 daughters. One of his daughters look exactly like your puppy but smaller, she cried alot. One of her sisters died seconds after birth

Look. I have a dachshund too which looks just like yours. That is not wired haired. Even if the parents are wired haired, it does not mean the dog inherited the phenotypic trait. That is a short hair dachshund. If you disagree...then you do hahaha.

@taggartjs Well it was just because people were arguing about her not being a wire haired Daschund (which she is, both of her parents are wire haired) but the comments with people arguing were getting annoying haha. but thanks im glad you enjoyed the video :)

@firedemon2 Both parents being a wire haired have nothing to do with the offspring being wired or not. Two wireds can produce a smooth... which that dog is. Cute nonetheless, though. :) (this from someone who has family that breeds doxies, and has worked for a different doxie breeder, and has shown doxies in the past).

@firedemon2 It's simple genetics that they can produce a non wire haired. Same goes for blue merle, silver dapple, etc. Most of the time it skips generations. Do some research or listen to them. That'll put a stop to it.

Cute dacsh. Mine looks nearly the same except mine has a few small patches of silver dapple. He matches my catahoula.

She reminds me of my Tia, when she was small, she died 1 yr ago June 11th, all of a sudden, trying to find another one, but can't afford much, I'm disabled, just seeing this makes me cry, but she's a beauitful puppy. I hope to find one soon. Can't stand waiting, but i want a female, smooth hair, and either black/tan or chocolate. I live in Florida, and they want an arm and a leg for them. It also has to be a puppy, not asking for much, LOL

I know that you say that both of this puppies parents are wire haired... I hate to inform you, your puppy must be adopted, she's a smooth haired... you show the entire body of your puppy and I see no wire haired texture anywhere. Whatever, she is very cute!

Nope , she isnt. her mother and father are both wire haired. Poppy does have a wirey textured coat , especially along her back ,chest and feet! Her sister is the same, they may not have long hair and those little beards , but they are infact wire hairs c:
