I heard that Yuna had to go back to Korea from Vancouver, then back from Korea to Toronto right after the Olympics. Those are some big time changes! And then, not long after, she flew over from Toronto to Torino. She truly had a rigorous schedule! She really did well in such a physically and mentally demanding situation. She is so amazing!

Oh.. you guys,, Don't blame her. She's not a robot. She can't do well every time and every moment. Also IMO, her score 60.30 is not high because she did every jump (including 3lutz-3toe) without any sliding. That's it. Her score has no problem at all.

This performance was a huge mess...yes a mess! I still give her credit for that huge 3L, 3T combo. A LOT of figure skating fans are angry with the scores but there is no need for angry out cry against this skater. Blame it on the judges. I still give her some amount of credit for showing her face to this event after her stressful time in Vancouver. Give her a break people it's not her fault she got the scores that most of you don't believe she should get. Plus she still is a superb skater.

Those who try to knock off Yuna just because she fell once will probably faint when they see the gold medalist's free program from Gothenburg in 08. (Sliding jump, skating for half a minute without doing anything...)

@junkyindatrunky Well, that sure lets Michelle (OMG the ice is slippery take no risks just wiggle and grin )Kwan out of the mix! Safe is Michelle Kwan's mantra and it worked pretty well for until THE OLYMPICS! COP would have shut her down faster than you can say easy combo.

every skater tries their best too, and you know it wasn't a good perf. i'm sure she knows too, so just be rational and have some sportsmanship

despite this sloppy performance, she walked away as a runner-up. can't believe it. she just let down so many other skaters. her competitors can't beat Yuna even if they perform with no mistakes. she is terribly overrated thanks to lots of gray areas in judging system.

NO SHE IS NOT! This girl is fabulous and had to EARN her scores. The one who you must be thinking of is that sloppy, stunted, cloddish Michelle Kwan..HER scores were fixed and with the cop she wouldn't have hung on for so long. This program with all of its mistakes is better than kwan's BEST! Yuna is the best skater in the Universe and she didn't let anyone down except herself. KWAN cost other figure skaters so much and is oblivious. Yuna is honest and her skating is as well!! Kwan is a clod!

@memuysexyfosho Well, I am neither blind nor dumb but you may have a point irregardlesss. Perhaps the score was too high which isn't unheard of in figure skating (think, as you said Michelle Kwan who got 6s for sliding on her butt so very gracefully), I have never claimed to know about the technicalities of jumps, spins, or anything else. Do you think she SHOULD not have won gold?

And her Flip jump got downgraded from 5.5 to 1.7, which is suspicious.

Overall maximum deduction should have been like 12

Her average short program score is like 76. Maximum is 78

OMG! I can't believe that she got such a devastating score for not having executed certain secondary element in her SP. She did deliver great jumps though. You really can not mess up with the current judging system. Dear me, 60.30! Unbelievable! Yuna is such a beautiful skater! And PCS has always been her forte!

penso che yuna sia arrivata un po' affaticata a questi mondiali...gli altri invece belli e pronti in quanto non hanno nulla da perdere per aggiungere qualcosa d'importante al loro palmares.Un rammarico per quella trottola che in condizioni normali yuna la potrebbe fare fare pure su di una gamba;il ghiaccio del palavela e' insidiosissimo perche' molto morbido e quindi bisogna evitare le iperreazioni ai movimenti;ecco perche' yuna ha avvertito la debolezza alla caviglia all'inizio della trottola;

@overtonvertiswright yes 60 is indeed too high for the costly errors she made... look at sasha cohen's performance at the US nat'ls this year it was 69 and the only mistake she made there was the first jump...

She and her coach said it themselves, they're not going to go down without a fight and that they must do tomorrow. And as we all know, if anyone can overcome what happened today by tomorrow, it's definitely Kim Yuna. Remember, she scored over 150.6 in the Olympics LP but even with 140 points in tomorrow's LP, she'll have 200.3 total points.
