I live just 10 miles from there and I remember going over there the next day and just amazed on how powerful mother nature can be! I was so sad for those who lost their lives and who lost their homes.
While that is a sad statement to read, it's actually quite the compliment of Jarrell as a community, that a natural disaster topped their proclivity towards treating each other morally terrible in the eyes of the law (something a sheriff staff would know of first hand). That is such a strong testament that countless other communities sadly cannot come close to boasting.

I was working with the Sheriff's Office the day that hit. In my 15 years of law enforcement this day stands out as my worst day.
