I checked and I see the conservatory is not too far north of the 789 (11) meeting spot. Maybe I'll start the morning off at the conservatory to warm up, then head on down to the gathering. Or, maybe I will just sleep in. :)
right on, man! those flowers get me every time. for central park, I think there is no better season than spring, although, on a cold winter night, it can be enchanting. Depends on circumstance, I suppose. Do you remember when we met? I will be at 789 (11). How about yourself?
Yes, I'm still here. With all the grey buildlings around here, it is comforting to know there are 843 acres of green in the middle of town. I love that place.

I know. I got some more footage of that. In fact after I lingered so long on him with the camera I got icy stares from his friend. Must have been jealous :)
Thanks. When I do videos like this they don't get as many views as when I opine, but I like to do them. And I usually watch them several times myself just to relax.
Oooh, that was lovely. I almost giggled though - it's the sort of garden that makes one picture victorian laidies in long dresses with parasols and gentlemen in seersucker suits; just then, in came the wedding party!
As I always say. you are the best. You show us the most beautiful side of New York , I have a challenge thou , I would love to see ,with your great talent ,some of the grittier sides of New York. I bet you still make them iinteresting , and places we like to see. You are the best We love you
I avoid the gritty side of New York lately. In my youth I saw some pretty seedy stuff. Maybe I should accept your challenge. In the daytime of course :)
It is far North. Most people start at the south end and never get that far up the park. Except for the formal garden, the rest of the park in the northern quarter is denser and a little wilder. But quite beautiful.
Haha! Strangely enough, like another park I know, it closes at dusk. But the rest of the park is open until 1 am. I guess they don't want anyone getting drunk and peeing on the flowers.
Did you notice the groom and his groomsmen had ties to match the bridesmaids dresses? I actually kind of liked it. We had a naugahyde sofa that color when I was a child.
I caught the bouquet, but I planted it in the South Garden.
As far as I know it is just three girls dancing (with wet clingy clothes... art, you know). It was made in Germany and was on the estate of Samuel Untermeyer. When he died his family donated it to the park. It is called the Untermeyer Fountain.
Beautiful video! Thank you.

I absolutely remember meeting you. I seem to remember meeting you one other time. Were you at the first South Tube?
I will be around for 789, definitely. See you there.

Oh wow, dig all the purdy colors.
Except the brides maids's dresses... not so sure that worked.
Did you catch the bouquet?
